We decided to go to Disneyland on the last day before our Deluxe passports were blocked out for the year. I had to work until noon, so my son had the day off and we agreed I would pay his way up to the park (we live in northern San Diego county).
Scott doesn’t have his own car yet, so I paid for the train and told him to get as many fastpasses he could before we arrived at 2pm. To our surprise, he had accumulated every fastpass possible, basically giving us “dream fastpasses”!
Sadly, as our day progressed, we would find out that the lines were really not that bad, and we didn’t even end up using all of the fast passes since some of the rides were almost walk-ons later in the evening due to shows, parades, fireworks and the bitter cold.
We really wanted to go see the Electrical parade (the main reason for going this time) and so the majority of the photos are from that. I still love that parade!
One thing that truly blew us all away during this trip was the surprise we has discovered at IASWH when we noticed a small (individual) cereal box (fruit loops) that I originally thought a guest had discarded right on a show scene, and was appalled. But then my kids noticed another further back in another display standing perfectly upright, and we KNEW this must be cast members screwing around! Then another, then another! All individual small sized boxes of different cereals. What a trip! We found ourselves searching every new scene for a box. I don’t know how many they had in total because we didn’t notice ‘till we were past the first few scenes, but we saw at least 4 or 5!
Anyway, it was cold, the kids got crabby, but we still had a great time! Hopefully someone will post pictures of the cereal boxes in Small World, I didn’t have time to go back through and get any… Here are the pictures from today… Enjoy!
See you next year Disneyland!
