Re: Goodbye Parade of Dreams?

Well, I doubt that.

The economy only looks to be getting worse, and big companies are making cuts. And that means all the little departments have to too...
but to cut the major daytime parade offering...the ONLY real DL park parade offering (as there is no nighttime parade)...are you kidding me? Has it gotten that bad?

Something tells me that if the Celebrate street show was not coming, this wouldn't be happening...

Re: Goodbye Parade of Dreams?

Too bad, I liked POD. I guess it's time for something new though.

Re: Goodbye Parade of Dreams?

RDCT isn't even scheduled on disneyland.com either...

Could it be the END of RDCT AS WELL?!

It definately overstayed its welcome also.

1. DL will have a harder time toping RDCT than with POD.

2. Al said a few months ago that F! was going to be everyday of the Main Street Rehab also. F! is also NOT on Jan. on Disneyland.com. (after Jan 4th)

3. The RDCT and POD pages are still up on disneyland.com

Re: Goodbye Parade of Dreams?

Well, it takes Disneyland.com a while to update their website. But nothing is on the refurbishment/entertainment schedule in January or February at the moment, because Disney don't want to commit to anything that may not happen.

Re: Goodbye Parade of Dreams?

This is a dumb move on Disneyland part. I knew POD was leaving but it had one year leave and I was looking for it when it came back in March. This is the best parade that I have ever seen. I can not stand that new Pixar Parade it stinks. and what is this RDCT? I'm going to miss my fun with Aurora on the that parade. She and me have good times together when she ever see me from that parade. I also am going to miss the fun that Alice and Mad Hatter have when they do the show stop. This can't be happing.

Re: Goodbye Parade of Dreams?

Well' Considering that Celebrate Today sounds very similar to that disaster known as Block Party Bash, I am not optimistic.

Re: Goodbye Parade of Dreams?

dd and I enjoyed the parade. We both think it is better than the current Christmas Parade.

"Welcome to our family time..."

They will probably bring the Electrical Parade over to DL to run in the afternoon!

How do you like BPB & not like PPP? LoL! It has to be the complete other way around for myself.

Don't worry though, Aurora & the rest of the Princesses, as well as the Mad Hatter & Alice are sure to be in the Celebrate parade, & beyond that the 55th parade.

Re: Goodbye Parade of Dreams?

I really liked POD and am disappointed that it is not coming back. I'm glad I got to see its second to last performance. It would have been nice to have given the performers a nice send off like they did for BPB when it left DCA for Florida.

Re: Goodbye Parade of Dreams?

Oy.

And I was looking forward to seeing it in April too.

Oh well, good for WDW, since this is way better than any parade they've seen since the early 90's.

Re: Goodbye Parade of Dreams?

Don't forget though everyone, it's not confirmed that the parade is leaving. It very well could return next year.

WDW isn't getting Parade of Dreams. They're getting a new version of their current parade, Disney Dreams Come True, which will become Celebrate Disney Dreams Come True, & should run through 2011, when a new parade will debut for the 40th anniversary.

Re: Goodbye Parade of Dreams?

I'm sad that POD is not returning. Never got to see it live, but I have seen a million videos of it on youtube.

I wanna keep thinking that none of this is true, and that it will last til my birthday in August. Probably won't happen though.
