That's exactly my thought. I'm totally out of shape, but a 4 mph pace is sort of slow if you really think about it, so I'm positive I'll meet or beat that.

The main thing about 5/10K & half/full marathons is pacing... you don't want to run too fast right away, as it'll tire you out too quickly. The ideal thing is to keep the same pace throughout the race, even if it's just a walking pace... this is the key to finishing.
