Family of three hit by alleged drunk driver near DLR tonight...

Not much information right now, but here's what I could find:

    http://www.nbc4.tv/news/4965536/detail.html

There's been some terrible teasers on the stations out here claiming people were run over at Disneyland. Obviously, this is a sad incident, but do they always have to sensationalize the Disney aspect?

It happens. And it's pretty sad.

I don't get the media. Disney gives them the "red carpet" treatment whenever they have a parade opening or show opening or the start of the 50th at Disneyland. And they get this kind of treatment? The people that were hit may have been on vacation. But how is it Disneys fault? I think they just use Disneyland to get the story more attention. And THATS sad in itself.

    Ohman
My thoughts and best wishes are with the injured. Solemn silence for the dead. There have been way too many incidents in that area lately....

Dear god I hate drunk drivers.

I saw this thread title and the first joking comment to pop into my head was - are they gonna sue Disneyland?

    It makes me crazy.

These 3 people (or is it 4) are probably in terrible pain right now because of a drunk driver. Sue Budweiser for heavens sake!

Naa. They will probably blame DCA. Everyone else does. I'm guilty myself.

OMG! The trauma this must be for these 2 kids......witnessing their Mom hurt so badly. I sure hope she pulls through. I can't imagine what these kids will have to go through.

    3 pedestrians hit near Disneyland
One victim was critically hurt and 2 others suffered lesser injuries.

    By JENNIFER MUIR
    The Orange County Register

ANAHEIM Three out-of-town visitors were injured one critically Monday evening when they were hit by car as they crossed Katella Avenue near Disneyland, police said.

The accident occurred about 8:30 p.m. at the intersection of Katella and West Street, Anaheim police Sgt. Rick Martinez said.

The family of three was crossing Katella when the Toyota Camry entered the intersection and struck them, Martinez said. It was not known which direction the car was traveling or whether the driver had a green light, Martinez said.

An adult victim was critically injured, and two juveniles suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Their ages and names were not released.

Police were questioning the driver of the Camry a man in his mid-30s Monday night.

The driver may have been drinking and an arrest is possible, Martinez said.
