I joined MiceChat earlier this year and since then, I have enjoyed the trip reports immensely. Long, short, with pictures, without, etc... Everyone's got their own style and ideas about what aspects of Disneyland tickle their fancy. I love them all! Having said that, I had a discussion with another MiceChatter about doing one myself. I was feeling a little guilty for my voyeuristic pleasure, so it is with my most heartfelt gratitude that I dedicate this TR to everyone that has ever posted a trip report and to my dear Foc's'le Swab who encouraged me to come out of my shell.
I know that he couldn't join me in DL today for my first ever TR, so I've decided to re-create a few special moments for him.
The Blue Bayou has a special place in Swab's heart.
No trip to DL for Swab would be complete without camping alongside the ROA waiting for Fantasmic! to begin with a warm churro in hand...
One of my favorite things about Disneyland and DCA (yes, I am a DCA lover) is that there are certain areas/things about the park that just stand still in time (with a little help from the special effects tab in Photobucket)
Band playing on Main Street in front of the train station
Candy Palace-a must do for me every time I hit the parks. I highly recommend the red velvet cupcakes
Scenes from DCA
Managed to stop by the hub today for the meet. The group was small, but what we lacked in quantity we made up for in quality
DisneyKat's little one, DisneyKitten came and brightened up our day!
No shortage of Charger fans here...
Some of us made our way to the Wine Country Trattoria for a delightful lunch. The food was delish and the company even better. Al-if you're reading this, I enjoyed the stories/pics on your trip to Italy. So apropos for dining at an Italian restaurant . Even though I've been a handful of times, hearing about other people's experiences always makes me want to book the next flight out, so for that, "Grazie!"
LB2 helping me polish off my red velvet cupcake.
LB2's addicted to Uncle Fishy's hugs
The group split up after lunch and Mr LB and I decided to take LB2 around DCA for a bit before heading over to DL for the parade.
On our way out of DCA, we noticed a Rose Bowl stand selling shirts, hats and yummy sweets!
Won't bore you with pictures of the parade that have been taken before by much better photographers. Watching the parade at DL was the perfect way to end our day while satisfying our " Christmas is over" fix.
Special thanks to Mr LB who graciously served as photographer for some of the pictures (not an easy task since he does not comprehend my fascination with trip reports) and to DanT, Light Mouse & LoveDisney 33 for being my 'extras.'
Because two ends are better than one...
Sorry Norm...I couldn't resist
