Sad Annual Pass HELP!!

Calling any ticket agents!!
So I have the So. California pass and it is blacked out tomorrow (Tues 12/30). My step daughter and I have been planning a trip, and I have NO idea why I did not check the blackout dates! I know I can buy a ticket to get in at a bit of a reduced price - not a lot of cash right now after Xmas! - but my question is this:
My passes expire 1/11/09 - if I renew tomorrow, can we go in tomorrow? I know if I was buying an all new pass I could, but with a renewal?

Supplementary question - they have that monthly payment option thing now, and if I did THAT and renewed tomorrow could I get in, or do I need to pay in full in order to get in tomorrow (if at all)

Re: Annual Pass HELP!!

You will have to pay the full one day admission price for the first day you go in the park using the new monthly payment plan =/

Re: Annual Pass HELP!!

Thanks! Does that mean I have to pay MORE than I would be normally for the renewal, or just the renewal fee? And do you know if I can do the monthly plan thing and still do what you said above? I have a worried 9 year old looking over my shoulder! LOL

Re: Annual Pass HELP!!

I edited my first post, if you do the montly payment plan to renew your Disneyland Resort Annual Pass you will have to pay the full one day admission price plus the "cheap" monthly payment for the first day you use your new monthly paid pass =/, if you just pay the full cost of renewing your pass and the pass your renew is blocked out tomorrow you can get a pass that will let you get in the parks.

Re: Annual Pass HELP!!

Hmmm, but the pass is like $174 to re-new, so after buying the blackout pass to get in (I think they are $50, right? For the pass holder black out ticket?) and then the $15 or so for the monthly I am half way there to the full price of renewal (but I really have only paid $15 towards the annual, right?) Or does the money for the black out ticket go towards the renewal fee? I feel like I don't make sense.

Ughhhhhhh, I should have made the renewal of the pass an Xmas gift! Silly me!

What you want to do.. (this from someone who is a seller at the park):

  • You CAN renew, and renew WITHOUT a down payment, if you'd like. The ticket seller can and should give you a FREE BLOCKOUT TO AP card that will allow you to enter BOTH parks. This is because you are RENEWING that you can do it without a down payment. That would mean whatever pass you get would be divided into 12 equal monthly installments.
You may also decide to make the $69 down payment, at which point your monthly payment would be $105 divided by 12 (sorry, brain fry after today).

  • You can pay $40 each and get into both parks.
No matter which one you do, plan on getting to the parks EARLY in the am, or after 4pm, that will allow you to skip the lines, which at times today were over an hour, no matter what line you were in.

If you have other questions, either post here or send me a pm, and I'll get back to you just as soon as I am able. I work again tomorrow(picked up some OT!!), but will check the board before I leave for the park, and give you any more info you need.

Re: Annual Pass HELP!!

The day you renew an annual pass you get a free block out pass if your renewed pass is blocked out the day you renew, if you plan on renewing your with the new montly payment plan your gonna have to make a deposit by paying the price of a one day ticket plus the monthly payment and you will get a free blockout pass.

Re: Annual Pass HELP!!

I got a flyer in the mail about renewing early...so I know that part is allowed.

Thanks for all the info above.

Patti - So are you saying with your option number 1, the ticket seller "should" be able to renew my pass with NO down payment and just the $174 divided by 12? AND give us free black out passes?

Re: Annual Pass HELP!!

Ther last thing you want to do is go to DL on a black-out day. You won't remember anything, so what's the point?
