Dmom - We are all thankful to everyone who does such an amazing job of landscaping the park. I think you mentioned that your husband works for landscaping. I have no doubt that the floral will look incredible once it is completed and the flowers are in bloom. As for the pom pom on the hat, sometimes things work out and other times not so much. Those creepy plastic dream things didn't last too long as I recall. They were over both of the tunnels and all over the floral a couple years ago...and suddenly they were gone. Sometimes people need to see it and get some feedback before they find out that it doesn't quite work.

    But we'll see...

Well, this wasn't very horticultury either, but it did look ok during the 50th. However the "hat does look quite a bit larger. And a little clown-ish

Remember the hullabaloo when they put in those swirly, colorful things? Was that last year or the year before? Everyone was having cows right and left!

I'm not so crazy about it, as of now, but I'll wait until its done, and I see it in person, before I pass judgement.

The walls are down this am and I think it looks great. The pom on his hat is yellow made of flowers. I don't mind the large yarn/string for the balloons. NICE job by the landscapers. Pics coming soon.

I haven't seen the finished product but i do like the idea. The hat does seem a bit odd though. seems that its to wide for its length. Obviously they do not have much room up top to make it longer but maybe a little less wide.
