HMH Closure and Overlay Removal?

Officially, the HM closes tomorrow (or so it says on the DL website), as does Small World. Last year it was the same designers and propping crew that worked on both attractions--with work first beginning on SW and then continuing onto HM. In other words, HM remained open about a week later than the stated closure date. Does anyone known when the HM will actually close this year?

Re: HMH Closure and Overlay Removal?

Today is the Mansion's last day.
It will be back in February.

Mr. Fantastic,

Is that just from the DL site, or do you know that from inside the park? I'm asking because in the past HM has often closed later than the scheduled date.

Re: HMH Closure and Overlay Removal?

You've got it backwards. HM closed first last year.
Remember both attractions are getting refurbishments as well as overlay removals, so they have two teams that can alternate projects.

Rest assured, the Mansion has it's last night tonight until February.

Re: HMH Closure and Overlay Removal?

Too bad, I'm going tomorrow for my bday. I got to go on HMH only once this year. But then again I hardly went to DLR compared to other years. *sigh*

Re: HMH Closure and Overlay Removal?

While I like the overlays, I think the time span that these two attractions are down doesn't make them worth it. I know attractions will often go down for rehab each year, but these overlays potentially create a longer span of time that these attraction are down, both putting up the overlay, and taking it down. I don't dig it.

Re: HMH Closure and Overlay Removal?

Does HM ever open before its scheduled opening date when it's down for the HMH removal? I'll be at the park on Feb. 8 - 11 and was wondering if I stood any chance of seeing it open a few days early.
