    Hearing Disneyland's Fireworks Nightly

Alright, this is just for fun. I was wondering who can hear the Disneyland fireworks at night (9:25pm) and what you think about it. Do you like hearing them or does it get annoying sometimes? Also, anyone near enough to hear the music that goes along with thie fireworks, I can?

**Personally, I don't mind hearing the fireworks nightly. Honestly, they are so loud sometimes that I can still hear them even when my windows and doors are closed. This might sound funny, but they put me to sleep sometimes because when I hear them, I always think of how fortunate I am to live where I am, being close enough to hear them. Also, another funny thing is that I can sometimes hear the music that plays with the fireworks. A couple of times, I've also been able to hear the MSEP music during the summer and some nights, I can hear the Fantasmic music. Although, this doesn't happen most nights because I'm either watching T.V. in my room or I'm listening to music, so I can't really listen to the music playing at the Resort. And when I can hear the music to any of the three, I either sing along (fireworks music), or I dance along to it (Fantasmic or MSEP). It's entertaining to me. I even hear the Mark Twain and DLRR bells sometimes. Most recently over the last summer when I was home with my dog. It was quite awesome.

I can hear them in Long Beach right next to LBCC.
I typically like hearing them...makes me feel attatched.
But the first time I registered that I could hear them was when I was trying to go to bed early cuz I didn't feel good...so they annoyed me that particular night

I can hear 'em, I've even tried to match and sync the soundtrack to them! (Which isn't easy to do!)

I used to love hearing the booms from Wishes and Illuminations when I lived at Vista Way as an ICP'er.

I live in tustin, I can hear them every night, you sort of get used to them. Sometimes they are louder than other nights, which is weird

The loudness of the fireworks depends on the weather. That's why it's louder on some nights than on others.

I live a couple miles away from the park, and if the weather is right (usually on cold nights), you can actually hear the music. From where I am, there's about a 10-second delay from seeing the fireworks to hearing them.
Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense.

Wow, I never thought that the sound of the fireworks could reach that far from Anaheim.

Haha. I remember many times last year, I would try to match up the soundtrack to the fireworks when I was at Downtown Disney. I was able to get it on time many many times. My mom and I would have a blast listening to the music and the fireworks when they were in sync.

Oh..so that explains why I can hear the music sometimes when I listen attentively. Thanks for clearing it up!

    Re: Hearing Disneyland's Fireworks Nightly

Growing up I lived in Cypress, and later in Garden Grove. Of course, they were only during the summer back then, but you always knew when it was 9PM!

It never bothered my parents, or my brothers and me.

I've mentioned before that my great grandmother lived in a trailer park circa 1960 which I believe was just north of Ball on Harbor Blvd.

I well remember hearing the clang of the DLRR bell, and certainly the whistle of the Mark Twain. Great memories.

I live in Lake Forest, and I can usually hear them. Humid nights help the sound travel, so they will be louder then. I can usually only hear the big ones though. Oh, and I love hearing them, since I love Disneyland.

I just want to say that I am jealous of each and every one of you. The very mitochondria in my cells aches with jealousy.

Ok, you guys get MASSIVE Disney nerd points for that one! Not that I blame you, I'd be trying the same thing!

The sound reaches my house too. During the summer of 2006 I memorized the pattern of booms and could figure out what point in the show it was, and then could hum R...DCT and 'see' the show in my head.

Yeah, those were boring summer nights..

I live about 12 miles from DLR. When I hear the "booms" and it's around 9:25 P.M, I know it's fireworks time at DLR. Recently, I can see the fireworks clearly from the 4th floor of my work place. So, around 9:30, I head over to the window and watch the fireworks. I can almost tell which part of the fireworks it is on.

    Re: Hearing Disneyland's Fireworks Nightly

We hear them nightly over here in Placentia. It always makes me wish I was over there watching them in person. I've seen them from time to time on my way home from work as you come over the hill on the 57 South before Lambert.

The most annoying situation? Try having a choral festival at the St. Boniface Church which is about 10 blocks North of Ball Rd. You're right in the middle of a Renaissance motet and...

    BOOM!!!!

The whole church shakes for 15 minutes.

On the upside, the front steps of the church offer a great view of the fireworks.
