Trip Report 1/2 & 1/3 - My two day escape to the Happiest Place on Earth

I spent last Friday and Saturday at the parks, and boy was it fun! Friday was a madhouse, and absolutely FREEZING, never warming up, and Saturday was sunny and warm, and the crowds weren't bad at all. It was quite bizarre. Plus, I'll have something that no MiceChatter has ever seen. But, while I get the first part together, I'll leave you with a few shots.

Day One

I started the day bright and early (well, not so bright, but definitely early), at 5:45a. I readied myself, double checked that I had everything, and got in my car around 6:20a, now bound for Disneyland!

I arrived at the Mickey and Friends parking structure, and was there early enough (7:20-ish) to be able to park in Pinocchio (as is usually the case). Upon arriving at the Main Entry Plaza, I quickly got in line (now 7:45a), and noticed for the first time the new banners. I completely missed them at both tram stops and along the tram route.

I'm still not crazy about them, but they don't seem that bad in person.

While waiting my turn to enter, I snapped what would be my last daytime picture of the beautiful snowflake sets on top of the turnstiles.

I bolted over to Tomorrowland to get a FP for Space Mountain, followed immediately by a trip on said ride. Afterwards, I walked on to Buzz, and was not overly impressed with my score (about half of what I usually get).

And now... for the first something that no MiceChatter has ever seen before. Well... the lead up to it, anyways.

Here's a hint:

Okay, okay... I know all y'all have seen Tink and her fairy friends at Pixie Hollow (either in the park, or here on MC), but there's a twist! Just wait!

I never noticed this on Astro Orbitor, and think that its really cool looking.

And now, here it is! *drumroll please*

Me with a character! I can guarantee that no MiceChatter has ever seen me posing for a photo with a character... EVER!

Okay, so it may not be some earth-shattering event or thing to the rest of you, but it was for me. For a while now, I've wanted to get my picture taken with the characters, but have been too shy to do so. The last character pic I was in was back in '95 with Buzz Lightyear. But, I finally managed to work up the nerve to do it! And I'm so glad I did!

Silvermist was super nice; Tink was too.

After feeling super happy I was able to go through with it, I went on my very merry way to "it's a small world" holiday, by way of the castle courtyard. I deemed the lines for the dark rides were a little to long for my tastes, at the moment, so I just skipped them and went up to small world.

And I think I'm going to take a break for now, to allow your computers to catch up (for those of you with low-speed internet)

I have a Kodak Easyshare Z812IS, and I absolutely love it!

I also took a bunch of videos, and am uploading some to YouTube. I'll include them in here, as they fit in. I should also have the next part (or 2) up tomorrow night.

WOW really the 812? nice! i had the 712 before i went to an SLR. i dont think my stuff turned out that good lol
