area by it's a small world?

There's this platform-ish area between small world and the old boat dock (now used as a smoking section). It's painted like small world and there are steps and railings. I don't have a picture of it, hopefully someone knows what I'm attempting to describe?

Anyway, I can't figure out what that area is/was used for! Out of curiosity I'd like to know why it's there . I'm pretty sure it must have been used for something at sometime? I just can't recall anything from my childhood, maybe someone can help me out!

    Thanks a bunch!

If you are talking about the area just west of the old motorcruise loading area, lately that has been used for the extra long lines for SW Holiday.

It's used for parade viewing, used to be character meet-n-greet too.

Those were the viewing tiers that were built for Light Magic. That was one of the show zones for that show. That was also when the bypass to Toontown/Small World was built on the other side.

It is usually refered to as "Small World Mall". It was indeed used for a short lived parade called Light Magic. More information can be found here: Light Magic at Yesterland

    Yeah, Light Tragic... LOL

We use that area for viewing the parades. And met plenty of characters there too.

Before they switched to benches behind that area, we used to borrow a few chairs to sit in while enjoying the parade. Front row seats!

We ALWAYS returned our chairs back to their original location.

    Other guests didn't...

That's probably why they went to benches...

As others have said it was used for light magic.
