Use birthday ticket to get AP on payment plan?

I'll be at DL next on my birthday next month. I know I can upgrade my ticket and pay the difference for an AP, but anybody know if I would have to pay the AP price in full, or if I could still use the new monthly payment?

If you are a SoCal resident, you can use your birthday ticket towards the down payment and use the monthly payment plan.

According to the CM I spoke to on the phone yes you can. I'll know for certain after this weekend since I'm planning on upgrading my boys bday tix using the payment plan.

On a similar note, I am still debating between the Premium and Deluxe, but my birthday is on a day blocked out for the Deluxe. I'm assuming, then, that I can't use the ticket to upgrade to a Deluxe, correct? At that point, upgrading to the Premium just makes more sense.

Your first day, no matter what, is included FREE. So if you want to use your birthday ticket to upgrade to a deluxe, because it's your first day, you're free to get into the park, and you can use it just like you would on a regular day, and go from park to park. You can even use the bar code on it to get fastpass..
