Bold mine. And....LOL! That would be hilariously bad for about....30 seconds into it. But still, no. As hard as I would laugh at it for a half a minute...no. But epic idea indeed.

There is the Star Trek version of this thread which i myself would prefer.

What if we bring Star Trek to Disneyland?

I am extremely against this idea as it is pretty much an admittance of defeat and that they have no more ideas whatsoever, which is sad.

Our revels now are ended. These our actors, As I foretold you, were all spirits and Are melted into air, into thin air: And, like the baseless fabric of this vision, The cloud-capp'd towers, the gorgeous palaces, The solemn temples, the great globe itself, Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve And, like this insubstantial pageant faded, Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff As dreams are made on, and our little life Is rounded with a sleep. mycroft16 on Twitter

Re: How About a Star Wars Land In DL?

According to what I've heard, Lucas and Disney are already holding confidential meetings over a new StarWars based simulator ride. I am on pins and needles over it. That's enough for me. An entire StarWars land as a replacement for Tomorrowland would spread the theme too thin in comparison with the dynamic use of various original and brand based attractions that Disney is continuing to imagineer.

If you take Star Wars as a model, you can do a lot to make the present Tomorrowland more futuristic. However I must caution, it should be inspiration, not namesake... I really don't want to find Jar Jar on the Subs or have the Imperial armada chasing me on Space Mountain!
Very well put techskip. It made me think of the differences of our perceived "tomorrow." Do we have a clean, linear, fantasy "tomorrow" (which I believe Lucas coined as an immaculate future, and something he wanted to avoid when making Star Wars.) Or do we have a dirty (althought I use "Dirty" loosely), used, realistic future that is essentially our society with advancments that are reasonable? Right now I think we have both, but I'd like to see one overall theme resonate once the land gets a rehash.

Allow me to express my earlier opinion another way.The notion of a StarWars Land is exciting. Lucus is an exceptional storyteller with vivid notions of a positive future. I just don't desire for Tomorrowland to be replaced in any major fasion with that of any single franchise or brand.

Re: How About a Star Wars Land In DL?

Not a huge fan of posting links to other threads in a current discussion,. and I don't advocate making the whole land be Star Wars centric, but I did have this idea that would I feel benefit the land and give Star Wars some extra presence....

They have no real meaning, all of his "idea" threads are almost always far-fetched; and all of his posting almost always have that "wink" smiley face in the title as if he thinks he's being clever or something.

But to answer you question, yes, I believe it is a joke; just like all the others.
