Something similar was already planned for Disney's Hollywood Studios haha go figure.

However, DL's future tomorrowland might me reminiscent of a StarWarsLand.

I'm afraid the Star Wars universe is way too scary for toodlers (Disneyland's target audience), perhaps Tomorrowland could be turned into Ewok Babies land. Buzz Light Year could be rethemed to Ewok Babies Destroy the Empire, plus, it probably wouldn't be too hard to update the subs to "Finding Jar Jar Submarine Voyage."

Leave it for Disney Hollywood Studios. Tomorrowland is a fine concept in itself. It just needs some proper attention... especially after the 1998 fiasco.

Re: How About a Star Wars Land In DL?

I think elements of Star Wars could be used without turning the land into Star Wars Land. The main focus of Star Wars was to show a futuristic society that had the ability for even the most common person to travel through space. It also displayed amazing technological advances in various fields, most notably weapons and robotics. If you take Star Wars as a model, you can do a lot to make the present Tomorrowland more futuristic. However I must caution, it should be inspiration, not namesake... I really don't want to find Jar Jar on the Subs or have the Imperial armada chasing me on Space Mountain!

I think there's enough "Star Wars" there already. Tomorrowland was a great land before the disastrous "fixing" job by the Eisner-Pressler-Harris regime.

So in answer to your question, I say NO.

It's funny this came up... my kids just recently saw Star Wars... and now my son LOVES it. For his birthday he had a lot of Star Wars presents, and for the first time today Tinkmomma took him and his sister on StarTours... As I said Star Wars incorporates the elements of what we deem to be the future, use the elements not the franchise!

I don't think so. Maybe change to outside of Star Tours to make it look like a spaceport from the outside. Other than that no.

Perhaps a better direction is asking which "theme" Tomorrowland should take. There have been a variety of concepts posted on here. They range from a near future on Earth to a distant futuristic spaceport on a planetary colony in a far off galaxy. The style has ranged from ancient, to steam punk, to retro, to modern, and everything in between.

I don't think that it would work. Like Techskip said, Disney could use elements from Star Wars to design new buildings and stuff for a new Tomorrowland. I personaly think that Tomorrowland should be themed to resemble a city in space with glass domes on the buildings and a completed silver and blue color scheme.
