    Submarine Show Building

I am completely fascinated by this unseen show building. The fact that it's almost completely hidden from view. Are there any pictures out there of it's construction? Of the inside? Interesting facts about it? I want to find out as much as I can about it!

Here's a picture I found quite a while ago when the subs sat inside the show building. I can't remember what site I got it from.

It's a fascinating structure, indeed. It's just over 18 feet tall, and there's normally about ten feet of water in the wet areas, if my sources are to be believed. Its outline can be faintly seen in this blueprint. And here's a more three-dimensional view from my (incomplete) scale model:

It still kind of weirds me out that the skip/captain just kind of stands there and is still above water. I wonder what their view must look like as they're driving through the lagoon and the show building. Whole lot of nothing, probably, in the building at least. :P

Beneath Autopia and the tracks for the monorail and the PeopleMover/Rocket Rods. You enter the building through this waterfall and leave the building through this one.

Hey Data...are you planning on doing any renders for California Adventure attractions? I think you'd do an amazing job of Grizzly River Run!

Hard to say, Quacky4Donald...the project as a whole is actually kind of in a holding pattern at the moment, but I'm sure I'll get back to it before too long. I don't currently have any plans to tackle DCA, since Disneyland itself is quite a formidable challenge already, and I have way less interest in DCA, and I don't have as much information about DCA either.

Yeah...if the "offroad" portion is where I think it is, there's no FNSV building beneath it.

As you near the 2/3 mark on Autopia, there is a tunnel you go under. There is a door off to the side that says "Submarine Show Building Access".

Our revels now are ended. These our actors, As I foretold you, were all spirits and Are melted into air, into thin air: And, like the baseless fabric of this vision, The cloud-capp'd towers, the gorgeous palaces, The solemn temples, the great globe itself, Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve And, like this insubstantial pageant faded, Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff As dreams are made on, and our little life Is rounded with a sleep. mycroft16 on Twitter

Off-road is where the old loading zone used to be for the old Fantasyland Autopia. That area would be west of the Sub's show building since the track leading away near the lagoon crosses a bridge above the old turn around point for the Motorboat Cruise.

I saw a mention that some off-duty CM's or CM's who just happen to be in the show room would make lewd gestures and such to make the captain laugh. I think it was in Mouse Tales, but it might have been some online tidbit with zero credibility. It's plausible tough.

When you are riding the train between FL and TL, look for random piles of rocks with the ivy blowing gently around them. (on the right side)The rocks cover the exhaust vents for the building.
