    Angry Dramatic Decline for Carsland?

My lover (who is involved with Disney but would rip my blowhole out if I leaked his name) says that the planned Carsland in DCA is in the process of being scaled down due to: 1) Costs -- the Suits in Burr=Bank want to redirect the money to Florida since attendance is dropping precipitously and they want the full-blown attraction from WDI to be located there and 2) final phase testing revealed a problem with the proposed Timon parking lot site -- not enough room for the high speed run! (When I try going at it at high speed, God knows that I get the runs!).

This is such a bummer -- other places tend to get the better versions and those of us in SoCal tend to get screwed!

Well, never cared much for CarsLand Anyway. But the dramatic decline is disappointing.

Hmmm, this is sadly not surprising. For a ride that actually had potential to end up being mediocre is such a mistake if you're trying to reboot an entire park.

The whole idea of carsland is flawed anyway. I say they should just scrap the whole idea and do something that would actually help this park. Why would they spend 300 million on an attraction with a pixar tie in? Very dumb idea if you ask me, the subs have certainly shown that attractions with this kind of budget should have creativity and originality as the foundation, not gimmicks and rehashing of movies people have forgotten about already. Where is DCA's Pirates of the Caribbean or Haunted Mansion?

I hate to say it but I am rather disappointed by this. If truth be told, I was actually very opened to seeing this, and I actually really wanted this to be cool. However, I cannot help but say that this does make sense since we have very limited space here in SoCal, so it will cost us. As for anything helping the park...good luck, WDI. You are on your own.

Your first post suits your username well

And I figured it was only a matter of time before WDW got all the attention again.

If they make a significantly better park, I get to experience a significantly better park. If they don't, I can continue to save money by not paying for parkhoppers. ::shrug:: Win-win situation.

The ride sounded cool but the land itself wasn't too appealing. In my opinion (and I think most others), although Cars is a decent movie, it's the weakest of all the Pixar movies. They should do an original land or base it on a better movie. I still really want to see Radiator Springs Racers though!

I hope this is a rumor cause my hopes were high for this and it seems WDW gets ALL of the attention! This renovation is turning out to be a joke!

From the sun wheel entrance to this!

    Who knows whats next!!!

I mean WDI seriosly? If u don't have the funds DONT DO IT!!!!!!

You have already disapointed us with DCA!!

Havn't you learned that reduced funds and a park on the cheap don't cut it!!!!

Try to be more of what Disneyland used to be. Like how every night they would fix light balls and repaint chipped paint and such.

Try not to be a buisness on what will draw the crowds in and put cash in the company. Make great rides and such.

Still eiseners gone and his ways still go around the company!
