Re: Is the Dole Whip an acquired taste?

I have to admit...I've never been that big of a fan either. For me, the pineapple taste isn't strong enough.

I think when you compare Dole Whip to the vast wasteland of Disneyland Canned cuisine it is a welcome change. I try to only eat at DTD or the hotels and avoid all the extruded meals. I think they do a better job at the hotels as they know if you get poisoned that you may live to tell about it and show up at the front desk the next morning.

I usually have the Dole whip with pineapple juice, so maybe that's why I feel the pineapple flavor is pretty strong...

The whip is fantabulous, and should never taste weird. Usually I have the float, but you have to love Pineapples for that one.

Here is my $.02: I love the Dole Whip and always have. This last trip I finally tried the float, didn't work for me and here's why: Dole Whip is very sweet and pineapple juice is not...had to wait for whip to melt before the two flavors didn't clash! (Would work great with some vodka in it!) As a side note, the texture of the whip was off when we were there, not creamy, kind of hard and icy...still tasted good! There you go...
