GCH- Concierge... Questions

I am staying at the GCH for my mum's birthday on Sun. What is it like? I have only been to the DLH one. Are they about the same? Also, what time am I able to check in? It's a suprise for my mum and even though we are locals, I am hoping to be able to at least go to the lounge after she gets off work on Sun around noon.

You can check in anytime on Sunday. IF your room is not ready, you can store your lugagge and the front desk will give you special cards to access the concierge lounge and then later you will be able to pick up your room key/concierge lounge cards. I say check in on Sunday morning!
