    Red Face Disneyland Celebration Options

My daughter and her son had a wonderful day celebrating their birthdays on January 27th at the resort. Since they both have Deluxe annual passports they were both able to receive the $69 gift cards and they used them to buy some nice birthday gifts. The whole family had a wonderful day.

Unfortunately my grand daughter will not be so lucky. Her birthday is March 28th which is a blockout day for the family’s Deluxe annual passports and the only alternative for her is to get a blockout ticket for herself and her parents will not let her go to Disneyland by herself which I certainly agree with..

If there is some other alternative, please let me know.

Here's the alternative- she gets the free ticket, the family pays $40 each. The point of the promotion is to make money. Disney planned on situations like this where people would choose either to come and pay, or not come at all. Disney can't help you. You can, however, if I'm correct, get the giftcard anyways without entrance admittance throufh the Guet Relations window outside the park.

Yes, you can go to guest relations or any ticket booth outside the park and get your birthday gift card.

As long as she has purchased the $40 Blockout Day Ticket. You are required to have valid admission to pick the alternate gifts. And as the pass is blocked, it is not valid admission for the day, but buying the blockout ticket would be a valid admission for the day.

    Isn't that the truth!

I hope no one was duped into thinking it was done out of the kindness of their hearts! Sure, it's a nice idea and I'm glad to see the Gift Card part of it for the AP'ers. But please.

Let one in free and the rest of the family pays. Sounds profit motivated to me!

And yet our stocks still don't go up in value...
