Re: Haunted Mansion: Victorian/Scary Christmas overlay idea

I like tribute to HMH you put in there! Here it is for anyone who is to lazy to look it up

A small tribute here to the former Nightmare version could be placed, a single flickering pumpkin perhaps further back on top of a crypt or tombstone, carved to look like Jack Skellington with a Santa hat perched on top.

Thanks very much, PrincessY...glad you enjoy I tolerate it as well, and just content myself with looking for the things that are unchanged, like the pop-up graveyard heads and the corridor of doors portraits like the one in my avatar...

Thank you indeed, you honor me...to me it just seems like common sense, but of course common sense and good theme don't always much up with perceived sources of revenue....glad you enjoyed it at any rate!

Re: Haunted Mansion: Victorian/Scary Christmas overlay idea

I wouldn't mind the HMH overlay if i had been able to see the mansion in the last three years. I only go between Halloween and Christmas. =[

It was cool the first time, but it's not worth seeing more than once a trip.

I think trees like this would look good in the mansion.

Trees that are not symmetrical and not perfect.

    wow! sounds amazing...
I would definitely take this overlay over the flat cartoony HMH

Also, if Disneyland ever gets the MC esher esc stairs WDW got(like in the loading area and right before the COD), it would be really cool to see upside down dying Christmas trees.

Idea: they could have christmas trees like that, but with the many instruments on them, floating in leota's room. That would be cool.

I absolutely love it! Awesome possum!

    We think alike:
I had similar idea for this, except for TOT.
And I was just thinking that they need to leave HM regular through Halloween and then Nov. 1 or 2 put it down for refurb and have it open with its Christmas overlay with the first day of the Christmas holidays.

A scrubby looking non-symetrical tree would be far more interesting and spooky than a prim and propper one. Great example in the pic, Maleficent Fan.

I love HMH, and even I think this would be an excellent new overlay for the Mansion!

Indeed! Fortuitous timing of concept art release, that is...even if for something totally different.

maybe there could be another tribute to HMH like there is one wreath that everyonce in a while that shows its teeth and opens its eyes, then goes back to sleep.
