Whew! THIS was embarassing...

I have been a wreck since my kitchen remodel began, and have been losing stuff right and left. When my m-i-l and hubby said they both definitely got the 14th off, I made several calls to make room reservations for one of the hotels across the street so we could leave Tues. night and walk there in the morning. I don't know how this happened, but I know I tried the Anaheim Desert Inn Suites and Ramada. I got it into my head that the Ramada was sold out and the DI Suites were where I made my reservations. I couldn't find the confirmation info amid the chaos, but thought, "I've never had a problem before, we'll just go." When I get to the DI Suites, surprise surprise, they have no reservation. I felt positive that I made the reservations there, but didn't make a big stink about it (THANK GOODNESS!). I simply asked if they would honor the room rate I was quoted if they had any rooms available. They said they would. So we stayed there. Today, I shovel off my desk and lo and behold, there is my RAMADA confirmation!!!! So now we have to pay half the room for the DI suites (m-i-l is paying half too) and the entire rate for the Ramada one we were supposed to have. I blame it on the chaos that is my house right now, and pregnancy brain. Nonetheless, I feel like a moron. I sure am glad I was nice to those people about "losing" my reservation though. . .

Funny you mentioned pregnancy brain too. The only time I've ever locked my keys in my car was when I was pregnant with my 3rd....and I did it twice! I swear once those brain cells die, you NEVER get them back.

I did something like that at the DMV. I made an appointment and went to the wrong one. I made such a fuss, that they let me on in. So I was just as goofy, minus the kitchen redo and pregnancy.

I made a somewhat emergency dentist appt. for my husband at the wrong dentist! I couldn't remember the dentist's name for the life of me, but I knew the receptionists name was Tina. Turns out the receptionists at both offices were Tinas. Tee hee!
