Sophomore English paper on the rise of Disneyland.

Ok, for my sophomore english paper, I decided to write it on the rise of Disneyland, and how Walt basically created the "theme park" buisness. I have to have a minimum of 10 references, so, does anyone know of any books that can help me with my research? I'd greatly appreciate it!

I cannot think of anything specific, but I would definitely recommend looking into information on Angus Wynn and the creation of Six Flags (the original parks: Over Texas, Over Georgia, and Over Mid-America).

Works on the history of Walt Disney World would help too. Disneyland was a predicted failure, but "Disneyland East" was guaranteed aspect of the ambitious plans for Disney World.

I had a paper last semester had a bit on the origins of Disneyland. I ended up with two online sources I really liked for the general background.

Anaheim's website has a great page on the history of the city. Naturally a large section is about Disneyland.

City of Anaheim - A Brief History of Modern Day Anaheim .

    and one from Disney itself:

Dreaming of Disneyland: How Walt arrived at his idea of a theme park

Hey now, this is your paper. Part of the reason you write papers in school is to learn to how research. A basic search on "books about Disneyland" found all sorts of books, you could also look up books on Walt Disney. To truly understand Dream, you need to first understand the Man. You learn more on the journey, then you will at your destination. I understand you're simply looking for book references you'll miss out on...
