WDI NEEDS MASSIVE CHANGE! I suggest fire all the "Creative Executives start hiring people who "GET IT" and start building a better future.

Oh, I love it! I really do, except for the fact that the America room kinda looks like hot buttered butt I think it's all really cute. Thanks for the pics!

Yes lets fire the creative people and hire stuffy people who will close every ride opened since 1955 and go back to using the ticket system.

Re: Small World - General Comments - Moved From Review Thread

WDI may need this change, but will it ever happen? I'm thinking not.

It's obvious, whether we like it or not, that the general public does enjoy these changes. Like it or not, WDI has found much success with these changes and I have no doubt that the characters will be accepted into the attraction. A little group of people whining for change won't get anywhere. I suggest that you widen the group and get the word out much faster and to more people next time one of these things happen. There needs to be some Save Mr. Toad-style protesting going on here. I mean, even VMK has a miniscule protest to defend it's closure. If people honestly felt compelled to revolt against Disney for them "destroying" it's a small world, there should have been some sort of action taken to inform the public and to protest the changes.

    However, notice one thing:

    Save Mr. Toad failed.
    Save VMK failed.

Groups much larger and much smaller than the Save the Rainforest group have both failed. I don't know if protesting gives you some sort of pride, but it hasn't worked against the company. We all have to deal with the aftermath of the changes, and while most have been good, some have been bad. But all changes still remain, and are something we have to live with. I'm looking forward to riding the attraction in April, along with thousands of others I assure; and if there's a token few people who choose not to ride because of some trivial addition, then I'm glad there'll be a shorter line.

Now, I'm not going to be able to shut the haters up, but being a hater myself (albeit not of these changes) I understand that you are fighting for something you believe in. It's just a matter of overreaction to the subject at hand. Once you guys actually go on the attraction, I then suggest you tell us how you feel. But now that the attraction has reopened, can we please wait until you actually experience these changes before we begin hating on them again?

How long has that gift shop been there? Since the mid-90's I believe.

It's not like they just added it to capitalize off of the character additions.

And how would you judge who "gets it" and who doesn't?

Personally, from looking at the pictures coming in, I do like the changes overall. Most of the dolls look very nice save Stitch and Woody/Jessie. I'm neutral on the America scene, although I do like the choices for the rocky cliffs on the desert side. Only part I really dislike for the America scene are the, imo, tacky Hollywood spotlights.

I agree that change is needed, but firing all the creative executives is not the way to go. I know for a fact that some of them have their heads on perfectly straight and already "get it."

Everest is the biggest disappointment to come out of WDI in decades; and Animal Kingdom as a whole is not worth the price of admission. So I'd disagree with you there.

Why the heck would "communists" be going to Disneyland in the first place? Disneyland is not something that is accessible to everyone for various economic reasons. Communists believe that everyone should be equal economically. So why would a communist go somewhere others can not afford to go?

But Walt Disney World is not a museum...why are you so opposed to change?

Dude, did you ever get on Superstar Limo?
"JESUS!!! That's Cold!" -- Walt Disney's final words.

"You hear people talk about, 'I don't think Walt would like this,' or 'I don't think Walt would like that.' You have no idea what Walt would want! No clue whatsoever! Because the people that worked with him day in and day out didn't know what Walt wanted. Walt didn't know what he wanted 'til he wanted it."
-- Randy Thornton, Walt Disney Records
