I kind of hope Mickey isn't dementional and I don't really know why. Maybe it's because if they make him dementional it would look more realistic, and it would look like his head was actually mounted on a ferris wheel...witch is enormously creepy.

I was looking at one of Darkbeer's smugmug photos, and it appears that they are painting the loading area for Mickey's Fun Wheel. It looks like they are going with a rich brown. I hope that this is just the beginning, and that they continue on with some sort of treatment for the rest of the queue. I always thought the concrete walls made for probably one of the most hideous queues of any "Disney" ride, especially since the ride flushes guests out at such a low capacity.

No its attached to the fixed "hub" of the wheel along with the front portion of the former sun. The longer rays are attached to the wheel itself and rotate accordingly.
I'm literally a born Disney fan! I was born at Providence St. Joseph Med Center right across the street from Disney Studios in Burbank. The same hospital where Walt died.

The sun was 3-Dimensional and was attached on to the hub and didn't look like a giant face on a sun. If he isn't 3-D then he would lose shape when you go around to the Swings and that whole area. I highly doubt those are motors in those two areas. First off it would be the creepiest thing in the world, secondly, to make it even remotely realistically they would have to adjust the chin position every time he talks, and third, the eyelid for a wink would have to be a cloth or something that could just look bad. Overall, Mickey is a still face, just like it should be...

Mintcrocodile was back at the parks today and it looks like there is a wall up in front of a portion of Golden Dreams and the wharf bridge is open again.

Also new maps for the parks showcase the Fun Wheel and and Screamin enhancements.

You would think they would go ahead and redesign the California Screamin' logo.
