Really? We have a stationary Leota again? As in on the table? I'm hoping to go tomorrow...
Yeah, let us know about Leota. She's usually stationary just during the overlay. I never saw the effect NOT work when she moved around.
Maybe someone just forgot to put it back.
Just me, but I don't think we'll see anything until closer to the birthday (changes that is)(and Al never hinted towards any either, not that it means much, but he has been pretty spot on for most of his "rumors"). Only reason I think so is because of the big deal they have made about the parties (Aug 8th and Sept 9th). Disney went as far to have the party on 9/9/09 (to sound cool I guess) when the Mansion is 40 on 8/9/09 (not so cool sounding). We'll see when it "offically" opens on 2/14/09 and those who go can tell us.

To that end I'd like the Internet community to join me in reminding the Disney company that "it all started with Walt." As you can see below we've created some T-shirts, plus a few simple graphics that you can copy and paste into your websites to let folks know how you feel.
I love the floating Leota, that is a vast improvement over having her sitting on a table. I never noticed the wires at WDW, but just once at DL (out of three or four trips) I spotted them for a second. No biggie if they are usually invisible. It depends on the lighting, and others have complained that the lighting is usually problematic when the Mansion returns from its holiday overlay.
Honestly, isn't the HMH more trouble than it's worth?
The reason the ride was closed longer than usual was due to the fact that they were updating the ride's control system. They put in all new consoles for the operators and put in a new resetting system.
I went in last night at around 7:30pm. There was barely anyone in line! I don't know if that had anything to do with Fantasmic or if people didn't know it was open. I wondered if it had been opened all day or if they only opened it at certain times for additional testing/practice for the heavy weekend.
