After Effects can be a lot of fun, but for this type of thing I've gotten really used to Apple's Motion. It's a very fast interface to work with, and very close to realtime on almost everything.
Great work! I saw something like this in a video somewhere... I want to say it was a Cast orientation video. At one point, the words formed a castle, with the spires as sprites that sat atop the text. Cool technique.

I think you did a great job on your video, but I have a small criticism on it:
On the part in which he says the ideals and so forth, I really think you need to find a way to put the words next to the "The" before each saying, because some people may not be able to see what word follows it.
