Favorite skeleton at Disneyland?

It has a surprising amount of them, you know.

And yes, I do fixate on more morbid things heh...that's how I roll.

And it can be human or animal...there are plenty of both. Some of my favorites are the dungeon skeleton in Snow White's Scary Adventures, reaching for water, and the pile of animal bones signaling the entry to the pirahna pool in Jungle Cruise, and who would I be to neglect the skeleton ship captain steering his wrecked boat through Hurricane Grotto?

So which is your favorite skeleton at Disneyland?

Re: Favorite skeleton at Disneyland?

Definitely the skeleton pirate captain in POTC. Mucho cool.

Second place would be the dinosaur fossil in BTMR.

My favorte, which isn't really a skeleton, but it's the pile of bones on the lift to the Laughing Place n splash, along with the axes, knives, and hatchets.

Yeah, that's right, how the hell did THOSE get into a Disney ride... I love em!

Hey, this topic reminds me. Archaeologists have discovered the oldest known pop-up ghost.

Excellent point...pretty morbid, really. That's a good one Eric, I had forgotten about that.

Awesome! I'm presuming it is from a much earlier Adventureland entryway? If only they'd put this back out....

Re: Favorite skeleton at Disneyland?

I'm going with with the lightning braving, shipwrecked captain clutching the steering wheel.

I'm not sure if that qualifies as a skeleton, but I do love the talking skull and cross bones. He rocks.

Also the skeleton who is walling himself in, in the HM grave yard (although all you see is his arm).

Re: Favorite skeleton at Disneyland?

How about the skeletons that are forever drinking in Pirates?

I think my favorite is Snow White's because it's a little surprising to find it in a "kids" ride, and the way it turns on it's shackles freaks even me out.

My Favorite Skeleton would either have to be Bones at Indy or the Dinosaur at Thunder!

Re: Favorite skeleton at Disneyland?

Hmm... after giving it some thought, I'd have to go with the ship captain toward the beginning of Pirates with the seagull on his head
