Most of the characters on the boat, that you see from the railroad, were in America Sings. So, see, you don't have to ride SM and get scared to death....you can ride the railroad and enjoy seeing that part anyway!
Yeah I see that I can still see some of them. Now I really didn't count them but this is a guess. What do you think Disneyland did with all 6 (for give me on this don't remember there names.) of Uncle Sam and the owl. I don't think they got read of all of them do you think?

^^ That's Sam the Eagle and Ollie.

Oh I'm sure they're stripped for parts somewhere over at WDI.

Now here's a question.. who would like to see this attraction come back with new animatronics and new songs?

The problem with that is that the songs end in the 60's and a lot has changed in the music world over the past 40 years. Plus the final scenes delt strictly with the emergence of Rock and Roll and left out all the other musical genres. If we were to make it come back with the old songs, a lot of people would feel that the ride was outdated.

They could bring it back, with all the old songs, but yes add a few new ones, perhaps even a 6th scene.

I'd be perfectly happy with the show as it was. I get the feeling that the 80's and 90's would just shatter the experience.

Yeah, can you imagine involving the music we've had in the last 20 years?

I always get a little sad to see the stripped down animatronics in Star Tours, but in a way, I'm glad they're at least still there. America Sings was my favorite attraction & I have such fond memories of it. Listening to the soundtrack sends me right back in time.

Same here. I do miss America Sings. Just hearing AS & ATIS bring me back to a great time in my life and a wonderful period in Disneyland's history.

I forgot to mention that I wouldn't want to see any rap, alternative, or heavy metal. I like those genres, but it wouldn't fit in a disney ride. It be nice to have a lil country or something though.
