No, you don't have to go through the CP to be a character.

And even when it comes to face, TDL and HKDL recruit pretty heavily in the US, while Paris doesn't. They occasionally have auditions here, but I think they're usually at DLR or WDW. They pull mostly from other parts of Europe and even Australia. If you do happen to live in France though, you've got a much better chance than the rest of us here

I too am too young to audition at the moment, and may be too tall as well. I'm a guy, and becoming a face character sounds fun, but I'm about 6"2, and may end up a bit taller. What character could I be?

Just go to the auditions which can always be found on DisneyAuditions.com

Being a prince would be awesome, "escorting" the lovely Princesses around like that. I presume Princes always do meet n greets with their ladies.

    Awe, so romantic! =D

I hope Disneyland goes back to less structured meet and greets. The PFF walk through is lovely but I preferred when the princesses could just appear anywhere in the park with their princes and such. I know they still have the meet and greets at the entrance gate but I wish they'd give them more free reign! It's more magical to walk through the castle and see Cinderella and her Fairy Godmother hugging kids or have Aurora and Prince Philip near the carousel. It's more in WDW that they do meet and greets with princesses and princes spontaneously this year... I wish they'd have more of it in Disneyland again!

It wouldn't surprise me if they got rid of PFF sometime in the future. I just have a hunch.

Thank you for the comment. You should have an email waiting (too young to PM unfortunately).

Don't worry, a lot of us are here :P Oh and by the way on the audition site it says, "
Special consideration will be given to those performers with heights of 4'8"-5'0" and 6'0"-6'4." So you should be fine!

Isn't there a certain amt. of months before you can audition again, if you're auditioning for the CP? I feel like I've read that somewhere... I'll go look for it now.
It's 6 months in between auditions (and that's not just for the CP- it's for all auditions).

Sounds fun. I too am hoping to become a face character somewhere along the line.
