That's because from what _I've_ heard, the judges are former disney face characters that are bitter that they are too old to do the job anymore.

Can you tell me about the WDW CP? Oh and if you audition for a character performer and meet & greet character and everything, do they tell you you got in before you leave? Or do they call back later? If you can help with topics like that it would be great!

The CP is awsome! I've done it 4 times now (in 4 different roles), and I've learned so much. And I am so excited to be going back down in Aug (in my 5th role). I highly recommend the CP (in either location) for everyone.

Now, for the audition. For the most part, they do not tell you at the audition if you passed/failed (I believe the only exception to that is the Orlando audition). Usually you find out via an email whether or not you passed the audition. And if you were accepted either way, you get a letter with the role and info for logging in and accepting.

Cool info thanks so much Sorry if I ask you so many questions, I'm just so interested in all of this! Your so lucky! What do you mean 4 different roles for the CP though? Oh and about the it's an exception for the Orlando audition, so if you audition there for Disneyworld they will personally tell you there? Oh and if they email you, can they tell you that you've made it for more then one role?

    It's no problem.

What I meant is I've done a different role for each CP (a role is the job. In Disney, the job is called a role, since you are performing a role for the guests). So the roles I've done so far are merchandise, custodial, QSFB, and character attendant.

Yeah, usually they will tell people at the Orlando audition that they passed/didn't pass the audition. As for the email, no. The email only states that you did pass the audition, or you didn't pass but are being considered for other roles (if you picked other roles). You don't find out the role you got until the letter arrives.

Got it That sounds like so much fun. You're getting so much great experience in everything at the park. I had no idea, thanks for sharing the info! I live in California, but I have a plan for when I'm 18. I'd really prefer to work at WDW. I've done some research haha.

Oh and have you ever auditioned for a Character, or parade performer?

I'm sorry. You should keep trying! That is, if it's something you'd like to do. I know that that's something i'd just LOVE to do.
When you go to a Face character/Parade performer audition, you don't have to bring a headshot and resume or anything like that do you ?
And do you know a lot about the process of the audition?

I really am sorry for asking you all these questions :P

Oh I definitely will keep on auditioning (it's my dream to be a performer).

I'm actually not sure. I've only gone to CP auditions (so those weren't required). I heard they want those for FT auditions though.

Yeah, I know the process for the CP audition. There are 2 parts- dance and animation. For animation, they give you an example to act out (it's like charades). Then for the dance part, they teach a routine and you perform it in small groups. Some auditions may pull for face (not all audition locations do). Some people may get called back for a second dance round. That's pretty much it.

Good! I hope you get cast for what you'd like to do!
Okay, cool. I'd really like to do the WDW CP and go to the CP auditions.
Ah it sounds like so much! But animation just sounds so nerve racking to me. As I earlier talked about with someone here, It's nerve racking with judges watching you and judging you on the animation, as it won't be nerve racking if you were in the parks because to the kids and everyone you are that character. and they're not going to judge you. But oh well, I'm willing!

So do you need to schedule an interview before you go to a WDW audition? I got this off a disney audition website. "Interested candidates should contact the Disney Jobline at (407) 828-1000 to schedule an interview. Qualified candidates will be invited to attend an audition." I'm hearing different things everywhere. Oh, this is so confusing!
I hope someone can clear this up for me :P

For the CP, they prefer that you do the interview before the audition.
