Disney Face Character Auditions

What I've heard is that they actually have dress sizes up to a 10. They don't want super skinny girls; Disney hopes that girls who idolize their princesses see that you don't have to be a size 0 to be beautiful. They don't even carry a 0 dress size! You should go, you'll shine no matter what- just look at that pretty face!
I truly wish I could go for it this year!! If only I were 18 already!

what about alice, because she is so small, what if the person was petite, not exactly anorexic but petite features, so would alices costume be smaller than the princesses?

Ahh yes for sure Now i'm thankful i'm 4'11 growing to 5'0 or 5'1 it qualify's me for alice! How tall are you ?!
So i'd love to be alice/wendy or possibly tink. I know that if your cast as any one of them, you switch off. especially between alice and wendy.

When we're both old enough, we should audition at the same time. I mean, it would be good to know someone there! Relieve the nervousness. None of my friends want to do it. I can't seem why. It's a dream job!

Oh good luck! Well I don't have many tips except, don't wear a lot of makeup they like to see your natural beauty and if they like you they'll wig you and put on makeup for the character they might want you to be. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes. Track or dance shoes. Don't be nervous. And just do your best! If they don't pick you this time, try again. But I think you have a good chance! You could be cinderella, aurora, ariel, they're all in that height range. Good luck again!

i'm curious- are people with freckles instantly cut? or would they cover them with make-up if they got picked?

There's a parade girl that has a lot of freckles, but I've never seen really freckley girls do walk-around. But, just like with contacts, if they really like you, they would let you pass and just give you make up.



That's the usual amount of freckles I see on an Alice, but I think she might be covering some up.

Oh my goodness break a leg!! =) I know they won't mind- especially if they see you as Alice! It's perfect =) And I also think that if they want you for other characters, if you can pull off an american accent it should be totally okay =) I can't imagine why it wouldn't be!

hi, i'm english and i will be the right height for alice/wendy/tink, i have blue eyes and blonde hair(not too bright) i have a roundish face but not that round i think i my face would be ok with wigs and i don;t think they'd look out of place( i hope), a few freckles but not many- and they are not too visible , i am quite petite with small features, so if i auditioned for face do you think they would consider me for alice,wendy/tink, also i wonder if i would fit in the costume as i am petite, but alice's,tink's/wendy's costume might be small as they are like a 10 year old girls and tinks a fairy

I guess it just depends what they are looking for. I really want to be Tink or Alice someday. I want to be the Tink that flies through the sky during the fireworks. Any clue how to get that job...?

If you are friends with more then one character, you can be scheduled as any of them.

No. They don't add inches on because of shoes.

Tink in the fireworks isn't technically a character performer (I am not positive, but I believe she falls under Equity).

wow, that really strange, that would be amazing to fly through the sky, i didn't think that would be possible!, i have no clue as i've never heard of it before. i would rather be alice than tink as i think tink only stays in pixie hollow and alice goes round the park, not to change the subject but i once saw a peter pan in disneyland paris and he had around 1 inch of make-up on and he was practically
orange compared to the rest of him, i dont know why they should do that as it looks strange .
and what is equity?

okay, i've been trying to research about jobs at disney world, have you worked there? because every single site i have been on are saying it is bad, treats it employees like rubbish, awful pay, you get 'terminated' by the drop of a hat, you can't eat while working and can only drink 2 types of drinks. i do not know what they worked as, but i don;t think they were characters. does anyone know what it's like??? although i don;t think disney would be like that, i've looked on disneyauditions and watched some of the people that work there. people shouldn't put things on like that.
although, i thought cast members weren't allowed to say anything , but one person said they were a cast member but was looking for a job right that minute.....hmmm

Yes. I am currently seasonal at WDW as a character attendant (and I am starting Attractions on Aug 10th). In all honesty, after 4.5 years of working at WDW, I've never had any problems. I've loved just about all of my co-workers/managers in all the locations I've worked (Attractions will be my 5th location). Yes, you can get terminated for not following the rules (but that happens with all companies). Yes, you can't eat while onstage, and technically are only supposed to have water to drink while out on stage (but I don't see anything wrong with that. You do get breaks to eat/drink what you want).

thanks for that, i think the people on the site were exaggerating, besides i don;t think they worked in entertainment, i'm still happy and very excited about auditioning! but people like that could put people down or even stop them from even trying.

That's why you should experience it yourself, and form your own opinion. There are things at Disney that some people like, but others hate (and vice versa).
