So this is a question to those who made it to the fitting round. After you didn't hear back did you ever go back to audition? And how long did you wait to re-audition? I'm dying to go back but I have to wait until AFTER my summer internship because i'm living in nyc for the summer come May:/
I haven't auditioned yet, but from what I've heard, if you auditioned in Disney World you have to wait six months before you can re-audition. If you auditioned in Disneyland, they hold auditions about every six months so it's kind of a mute point. So, I would say wait until after your internship and then see how long it's been since you auditioned. If it's been six months or more, I'd say go for it!
From what I've heard they have been. Two or three pages back someone asked a similar question (he was going to be about one day short of his six months) and he was told that they were strict about it. It might be the casting directors don't say anything, but they automatically make a mental note not to pick you because you're either still in the character pool or their opinion was that you weren't right for the part. Sorry, that sounded really harsh but I'm not sure how else to phrase it!
Hey I was just on the disney auditions site today, and they added a few extra auditions for the next couple of weeks! One is referred to as a Character Performer. Then in the discription it says Atmosphere Characters. Does anyone know if this is referring to a face character or a fuzzy? I will be in the area that week, but figured if there was a chance that this was a face character role opportunity that I might stay a little longer and go to this one as well as the March 5th opportunity!
"Atmosphere characters" are the correct term for fuzzy or fur characters. From what I can tell, "Disney Character Look-A-Likes" are face.
Well I am glad that you told me before I decided to go to that audition as well. I want to be on the look out for strictly "face" auditions. It is interesting how with Disneyland they call them "Character look-alikes", but with Disney World it is always "Face Characters". That does make sense considering if they said "fuzzy" only those who want to do "fuzzy" work would show up.
