Rubyslippers- I would just go for it and apply for CP! I did because it's early and even if I don't get it it's a good experience! If you don't get character performer you can withdraw from being considered any time. Also, there's nothing wrong with you attaching the actual pictures in the email itself.

    Re: Disney Face Character Auditions

Question- Today was my last day at my actual high school and i'm switching over to a home schooling program for the end of my senior year. Since i'll have more time on my hands and a very open schedule, can I apply at 17? My birthday is November 11th, and it'll be my 17th birthday! So I'll be 17 and a graduating senior. I'm doing home school so i'll have more flexibility.

Would I be able to audition at any auditions that come up past my birth date this year? Or is it strictly 18+? I tend to get mixed answers.

That's so exciting Alice! I think WDW is the only place that accepts 16 +.. but what do I know haha.

    From WDW audition posting:
    • Applicants must be at least 16 and authorized to work in the United States.

Oops I forgot to mention I'm from San Diego, so It could only be for Disneyland. Wish I could apply for WDW but i'm all the way across the country.

you can audition when you're 17 if you are going to turn 18 soon. and hey, by the time they have another audition you may be closer to the age of 18.

i would say go to an audition anyways. and if you make it all the way, they'll probably call you back to hire you when you're nearer the age.

From what I hear though, you will only get at most one face friend and then you have to attend auditions after your program is over or as it's ending to get more. If you have any more questions about the program, please feel free to PM me (if it's about the audition) or ask!
the CP program is different at disneyland. you can't be in the entertainment department while doing the CP. and i don't think you get hired based on full/part/seasonal availability in entertainment either.

The College Program auditions are only for Walt Disney World. You can go for CP (seasonal- so however long you do the program, but may audition for full time after). You can also go to the audition for just plain full time work, not apart of the program.

    Re: Disney Face Character Auditions

Hey so I am Auditioning on Oct 21 in Austin for a character role ... firstly let me say i understand the audition is primarily for fur and only sometimes do they pull you for Face ... Also i have previous experience as both a face and costume character from six flags (I love doing this by the way) and really want to become friends with a Prince but im like 5' 9" ... so my questions are as follows

    1) How lenient are casting directors in the height department if they like your look for a character? (I have been told by CP friends that i have a good look for a prince and that casting sometimes fudge's your "Disney height"

    2) Have you heard of a 5' 9" Prince before?

also here is a link to some pics of me Arreaux.tumblr.com

    3) If i don't get face what costume characters are in my range?

Anyone hear back for the electronic submissions yet? I sent mine in on August 24th so it has been nearly three weeks now.

Also, HalJordan: From what I have heard (and don't quote me on this because I have never worked for Disney), they will sometimes fudge your height if they really like you. I would say just go for it, be yourself, have fun and smile!

Nope I'm getting kind of paranoid about it, I hope my email didn't get lost since I've heard other people have gotten replies who sent it in after me. Guess we'll have to wait and see since it says to only submit one email...

That's what is making me paranoid..that you can only submit "one" email. I am disappointed i have not even gotten a rejection back. What is going on here!

    Re: Disney Face Character Auditions

It has me worried too. I went to a live audition for a different theme park and received a rejection letter nearly a month after.

On the other hand, I am sure they received a ton of submissions and are weeding through them. Maybe the others you speak of, km, had their emails looked at and Disney decided they were a no. So maybe that means we are in the maybe pile? Possibly even the yes pile?

I don't know; it is all speculation at this point. I just hope to hear from them soon as it's driving me nuts. I wonder if we could inquire about our emails, like send a different department an email asking if ours was even received and/or looked at. It would bring me a lot of piece of mind but I definitely do not want to upset them hehe.

I haven't received a response, but this is very typically Disney-paced. I applied for my current role in February, interviewed in April, and got an offer a couple weeks later. To be honest, the silence probably doesn't mean much. It's not the same department, but there have been plenty of College Program applicants who've waited 4 months to receive a rejection, and plenty who've been accepted in that timeframe as well. In any case, repeated extensions on a job posting typically suggest an initial shortage of qualified candidates, but no one knows for sure.

What are the most common animations the make you do during the audition. Last time I went they made me wash a dog and plant something. Has anyone else gotten any other ones? I'm trying to practice
