A Tiny Little TR Celebration Tour San Diego

As you have probably heard/read by now Disney is criss-crossing the country handing out balloons and fabulous prizes (well the chance to enter for prizes). Here is how they describe it:

Disney Parks Celebration Teams will be hitting the streets across the U.S.
and Canada distributing THOUSANDS of colorful Mickey Mouse Balloons and
asking local residents "What Will You Celebrate?". Look for Mickey Mouse
Balloons in a downtown near you!

Well since they were in San Diego today I thought I would pay them a visit. So I headed downtown...

Then I went a little further South to the shops at Las Americas (Las Americas Premium Outlets) It is a nice outlet mall situated on the international border.

There was a decent crowd and the weather was beautiful.

What is a Disney event without construction walls?

There was a handful of local radio stations giving out schwag.

And a few "Disney" folks in red jackets handing out balloons

I really don't know how "Disney" they were because they didn't know anything about the promotion but they were nice enough and were letting people have as many balloons as they wanted. Each balloon had a golden invitation attached that invites you to enter the celebration sweepstakes and includes a special entry code.

Kiosks were available to register for free admission on your birthday.

I asked one of the red jackets how to win the car but he didn't know (go to Disney's What Will You Celebrate? Tour Sweepstakes)

Is this the future of Disneyland attractions?

Actually this mall features some coin-op rides that had nothing to do with the event today.
