At the exit of the ride, yes. It's barely audible unless you are right there.

You could hear the Swisskapolka from the patio of the River Belle Terrace.

When my kids were little, our family loved to eat breakfast there. The kids would watch their Mickey Mouse pancakes being made, then we would sit at the edge of the patio near the treehouse. The kids would always finish first, and ask if they could go ahead to treehouse while my wife and I finished our coffee.

    Those were good times...

I'll just say 'bingo bingo bingo'

Previous posters nailed it. It was magical.

I actually like the bridge addition to the Tree house. It makes for a better visual look in Adventureland. And I like suspended bridges.

But the cartooniness of the leopard and gorilla, and even Tarzan and Jane just doesn't fit in the more realistic Adventureland. And with the Swiss family treehouse, you had Real rooms, that you could picture yourself living in. Tarzan makeover gutted too much of the realistic elements, and removed the feel that you could live in that tree.

Oh, here is the opening of the Treehouse, with Walt:

It's always a treat to see Walt observing his creations. That video pretty much speaks for itself why Tarzan's version should die a horrible death.

Perhaps we could have Swiss back in a few years time to celebrate the 50th anniversary of its opening. They could keep the new entry and suspension bridge, plus one or two other enhancements, but change the rest back, particularly the water wheel.

That video is AWESOME!!!! I love at the end how Walt goes round and round in the turnstyle just like any little kid would do! GREAT man!

I miss that treehouse soooooo much! Tarzan's treehouse just plain sucks! I agree with everyone before me....the old Swiss Family Treehouse pulled you in and made you wish you were living there!

.....and I miss the organ music wafting down out of the tree as you walk through Adventureland!

The Swiss House was so much cooler, a lot had to do with the awesome water system throughout the house.

If they only left that in place when they did the Tarzan makeover, I would probably find the current version much more tolerable.

As it stands now, the terrible plastic characters are out of place. I have only been up in the Tarzan house a handful of times, mostly to take pictures from a different angle, and not for the attraction itself.

Perhaps one should visit the Park once in a while before making such ridiculous pronouncements.

Perhaps one who deals so often in irony and sarcastic cynicism about the Walt Disney Company should learn to recognize it in others' posts. Particularly when the post is written with exaggerated prose, a facetious trademark symbol suggesting the overly corporate focus of Disney's motives, and the "rolleyes" smiley at the end of it all.

For anyone else who didn't catch it, I was commenting on the fact that while the switch to the Tarzan theme might have produced a temporary increase in popularity, it was just that - temporary. These days, there is no more interest in the treehouse than there was during the Swiss Family Robinson days, and some guests have even lost interest because of the way it discourages the kind of imaginative immersion the attraction was once conducive to.

In other words, I was agreeing with you, Steve.

The only things I'm bummed about is the old water system and how the added tree has contributed to the congestion in that bottleneck.
I'm literally a born Disney fan! I was born at Providence St. Joseph Med Center right across the street from Disney Studios in Burbank. The same hospital where Walt died.
