Re: Favorite Disneyland food?

Hands down the fresh chicken nachos at either the Lost Bar or White Water Snacks. Both are very different, but also very delicious!!

Peanut Butter Sandwich from Pooh Corner, a.k.a. Edible Sex. Chocolate, something crunchy, peanut buttery goodness, and more chocolate. *bliss*

Re: Favorite Disneyland food?

Yaaaay! No one has mentioned my favorite yet.

Everytime that I go to Disneyland when I am there when they have opened, I MUST have the country fried potatoes at the River Bell Terrace. THEY ARE AWESOME!!! They used to only serve them at the RBT, and Tomorrowland Terrace a few years ago. Now, I don't know if they still have them at TT, but I know they do at the River Bell, and they're even better than before!!!

They only have a few plates for their breakfast there, and the potatoes can be served with any of them, or even just by themselves as an extra side for a couple of bucks. I always order the Mark Twain, which has a large serving of the potatoes, scrambled eggs, a biscuit, and your choice of either 3 sausage links (also yum!) or 3 strips of bacon. The decently sized potatoes are marinated in this awesome, but light sauce that do give them it's great taste, but also come with chopped red and green peppers, and I think onions as well. These aren't your ordinary o'brien potatoes. They are the best ones made ANYWHERE and they are my favorite foods at Disneyland park. When I do come there and it is in the morning just after the park has opened, I always stop by here first before any rides to get some of these delicious potatoes. And for those that didn't know, or for those that remember them, they still do have the Mickey Mouse head pancakes here, where they serve you a pancake in the shape of Mickey's head (kinda turns out to be 3 small pancakes), and they give you 2 small blueberries for eyes, a small strawberry or rasberry for a nose, and a small pineapple slice for a mouth.

That is my top favorite, for dinner, the roast beef is very yummy at the French Market in New Orleans Square. The mashed potatoes are very good here too.

And over at DCA, my top favorite is the Full Throttle Fries over at the Taste Pilot's Grill next to Soarin Over California. Large criss-cut fries, topped with chili & cheese, chopped onions & tomatoes, and sour cream. Any of those toppings are optional of course, you can ask them to hold any of those if you'd like. And the FTF's are a meal in itself! A nice large serving for 1 - 2 people.

I think the new steak thing they have at the Plaza Inn is pretty good, I had it last week. I also like the citrus chicken from the revamped menu at the French Market.

Re: Favorite Disneyland food?

Love Haunted Pennies' idea for food network AND love this thread, because when you're dragging four small children through the park, you don't have much time/money/inclination to experiment. We're just looking for the closest place that has hamburgers and chicken fingers!

But when we finally get into the park alone we have no idea what's available, or what's good! So thanks, everyone, I'm taking notes for our upcoming trip.
*scribble scribble*

What we DO love -

churros
Bengal BBQ's beef/chicken skewers
+bacon wrapped asparagus
Gibson Girl waffle cones, shared at night on Main Street, while people watching.

The best chicken fingers in DCA were replaced by Toy Story Mania. I wonder if they took the food elsewhere in the park?

Re: Favorite Disneyland food?

I would highly recommend the potatoes at the RBT to anyone who gets there during breakfast hours, which I think ends at 11am.

Re: Favorite Disneyland food?

I absolutely have to have the following items (in no particular order)

* Popcorn
* Mint Julep
* Chicken Fusili from Pizza Port (it's really good!)
* Chicken Skewers from Bengal BBQ
* Asparagus skewer from Bengal BBQ
* Pecan nuttles from Candy Palace (if I'm lucky to be there on a day they make it

My absolute other must have was the Fantasia ice cream. How I miss this tasty treat.
Will they ever bring it back?

Re: Favorite Disneyland food?

The gibsons ice cream on Main Street is the best. Red Rockets pizza used to be good when they first opened it. Now, the pasta servings are too small, and the always serve the same pizza. Where they used to serve different types of pizza every day. Now its always pepperoni, cheese, veggie, and I think hawaiian.

Oh my!
You know, I keep thinking that the food network should really do a GOOD special on eating in Disneyland. You know feature the stuff that we all love to eat when we go. Not just the dumb stuff they do like a special evening with Cat Cora or having your wedding at Disney World, that no one hardly ever gets to do. They should highlight the different resturants and maybe what everybody orders, and then something else special on the menu that is really really great. Like at the Blue Bayou the Monte Cristo (which everybody gets because it's the least expensive thing on the menu and is still great) and the stuffed pork chops (which they may not have any more, but I had it once and it was FABULOUS!)
The thing about this sort of special is that it would be great for marketing. People would watch it and say "oh yeah, we ate that when we went. Next time we go, I'll have to try that!" and all of a sudden, people are planning their next trip to DL!!!
i agree.and when they do show the resteraunts...its always WDW

there should be more specials for the california park
