I miss those AA shows so much, my all time favorite was Country bear vacation hoedown. I hope that the disney gods above can bring something back. I feel that disneyland needs an AA show agian. What are your thoughts?![]()

I'm hoping that Little Mermaid fits that bill. We'll see!
I read about Disneyland Paris's Beauty and the Beast show that was going to be an alternative to the Tiki Room. It would have been awesome- I'd like to see that added to disneyland, but of course Fantasyland is too land locked to add it

If one is done properly, I'd support it.
I hope that Disney would see that their most famous rides are littered with AA's. I'm hoping the Little Mermaid has a fair amount of them.
I don't think AA's are going away, but I also think we're unlikely to ever see AA shows on the scale of the past. I would guess that AAs will continue to be used more sparingly and usually only where they are by far the best option, but generally we'll see more hybrid attractions with mixed techniques that give the best effect for the cost.
The Mickey audience is not made up of people; it has no racial, national, political, religious or social differences or affiliations; the Mickey audience is made up of parts of people, of that deathless, precious, ageless, absolutely primitive remnant of something in every world-wracked human being which makes us play with children’s toys and laugh without self-consciousness at silly things, and sing in bathtubs, and dream and believe that our babies are uniquely beautiful. You know…the Mickey in us.

I think the Tiki Room will be their only AA show for the forseeable future. I'm just glad they kept the original and didn't impose the "new management" on it.

MORE AA's!!!![]()
Given the popularity of Mr. Obama coupled with his love of all things Lincoln, I have hope it will inspire Disney to bring back their Mr. Lincoln.
Did you know Obama had the bust of Winston Churchill in the oval office replaced with one of Lincoln?

An AA show? Probably not, with the exception of a Mr. Lincoln overhaul and/or replacement. But I'd like to think that AAs will become popular again for dark rides and so forth at some point...they certainly should...

But everyone knows that AA-based attractions are repugnant to modern audiences! No one rides Pirates or HM anymore...Captain Rex would look way better as a 3D effect on a screen...Space Mountain's loading area is much more effective now without the robot AA...and Indy would be better off without the Indy AAs, anyway...
To Steve DeGaetano...that was sarcasm, in case you didn't catch it that time, either.
To MrLiver...let's just say that wasn't sarcasm, in order to avoid another fruitless argument.![]()
As a former CM that worked Tiki... As long as Dole stays a sponsor then the show will stay pretty much the same. MKs Tiki lost its sponsor so it was commercialized. DLs has changed very little of the years in the 80's the mechanics and layout of 3 of the Tiki poles(moved for better exit access) were changed and in the 90's the show was shortened by 3 minutes, then of course the update in 2005 with the changes in the lanai and the remastered soundtrack.
