I think, ftr Survivor and ABC's Lost, people can relate more than ever to SWR. Heck, instead of remaking Herbie, they should have been busy making a quality remake of SWR.Originally Posted by Michelle

Well as I said before, my complaint isnt so much the theme, as how they pulled it off first they ditched the best part in my opinion; the water wheel. Secondly and even more importantly they reversed the order of the attraction ruining it completely. With my asthma the only time I will even attempt to go up there again is if its completely not busy so I dont have people pushing me up the stairmaster, and not being able to take a break. I came dangerously close to falling over backwards on that thing I got so dizzy, and I never felt that way with the original version because it was far more smartly layed out (in stages where you can rest on the way up). They dont even have any kind of warning signs on that thing, I had no clue they completely reversed the original flow until it was too late and I was being pushed upwards from the behind.
I now consider this thing dangerous to my health, whereas before I would have never once thought such a thing. That saddens me because I used to climb it every single visit to Disneyland it was one of my favorite little side attractions.

Absolutely! I can still remember going to the movies to see Swiss Family Robinson....way cool!
....it all began with a Mouse...
See, that's where the problem begins. That family used their heads and boat parts to create the tree house. Tarzan, has all of the boat parts, and no story explaining how they got there. If they were going to change it. then change all of it. It's still a great climb with a great view, but it now looks as a cheap make-over.Originally Posted by Lady Peg

I love Walt Disney's Swiss Family Robinson and dearly miss the original attraction.
The movie is currently being remade, is in pre-production, so let's get the thing changed back before it opens!
Bring back the Swiss Family Robinson tree!
This has been a Filmways presentation dahling.
Or at least a Swiss Tarzan Treehouse
I miss it too. It was so much more cool than what replaced it.

No words, My tears won't make any room for more,
And it don't hurt, like anything I've ever felt before, this is
No broken heart,
No familiar scars,
This territory goes uncharted...
Man, you turn your back for a few years, and they change everything. Does anyone have any pics of these dumb plastic characters? I can't even imagine what they must look like.Originally Posted by Jspider
As nice as the other parks are, we must always remember that it all began at Disneyland. Disneyland should be the crown jewel in the Disney crown.
I'm sorry I'm the one who has to show these to youOriginally Posted by EpTxGuy

I can't stand Tarzan's Treehouse, I've only been through it twice. Once to see what it was like, and the second time because I wanted to hear the Swiss Family Robinson song that they play at the end of it. It made me very depressed both times.
I miss it, I'll admit...I thought the place was awesome when I was a kid, and I didn't know anything about the story behind it...but I still loved looking at everything.
However, I'm not in disaccord with the change that was made. There are a few things that I wish they would make look nicer (maybe they could replace that leapord with an AA or something to make it cooler)...past that, the little kids seem to love the place, and I'll admit that even I have fun going over there. The interaction that can be had at the bottom of the tree is really cool I think.
Hmm, had they not made the change to Tarzan, the tree would probably have been spruced up for the movie's opening...but I really don't think they would make the change back now.
Take me to Neverland...
I would be alright with Tarzan if the static and lifeless figures were removed.
The Swiss Family Treehouse still lives in Florida, Paris, and Tokyo, so it's good to have some variety.
