    Sounds cool!

They actually do have a Celebration chocolate cake now (That's what I thought the thread was for) that you buy by the slice at a few restaurants for either $4.99 or $5.99 (I can't remember which price). They look so good and have a little Mickey head balloon on top of it!

My son is gonna go to college to be a pastery chef and he never missies a challenge show. He is a bigger Disney fan than even me,if that's possible, so he will be super excited to see this. Thanks for the heads up. I'd have hated to miss it. DVR is already set to record.

Maybe that is what its for, tv guide doesnt say much and on the commercials it just says that competitors are creating a cake for disneys what will you celebrate. Im stoked to see it i love Disneyland and Food Network lol

    Re: Disney Celebration Cakes

I am sure that this has nothing to do with the cakes that Disneyland is currently selling in conjunction with their celebration promotion. But I do have to say I am surprised at Food Networks lack of information about this challenge.

While I was decorating a cake last night I was watching Good Eats and finally saw a commerical for this challenge. Looks like it should be a good one!

I saw the promo too, and indeed I'll be watching.

If you forget to set the DVR for the first showing, no worries...it'll be repeated Sunday night, midnight Pacific.

And a few times after that, I am sure.

    I know, shocking.

    Re: Disney Celebration Cakes

I'm living with my parents right now, who are 80 and 79 years old. They do have cable through Cox and they have the DVR box as well.

But they refuse to pay the extra $5 per month to activate Cox's DVR service. They say its not worth it and they refuse to pay it. When I explain what it is, and how easy it is compared to the VCR days they still refuse. I've also told them that I would pay for it and they still refuse. Ugh!

I guess I'll have to try to remember to watch it, and since this weekend is going to be crazy if I do remember I hope I can stay awake through it!

DIP, tell them that is cheap... here in NY it is $10 a month!
    Good morning, son
    In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
    It was pain
    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...
