Is it me, or does this look like Sleeping Beauty Castle?


Doesn't this look like a creepified Sleeping Beauty Castle?

Turns out it's from this old NES video game, Milon's Secret Castle. I saw it on the Angry Video Game Nerd webcast:

Remi the superhero/artist beaver was so inspired by his visit to Disneyland that he sculpted a likeness of his head out of the petrified tree in Frontierland. Of course, immediately after this picture was taken, he used his powers to restore it to its natural state .

There's nothing they can do. Scène à faire protects what little copyright there might be in the use of the building as a symbol, and, furthermore, architecture is not protected by copyright if the building was built before 1990.

Adventures in the magic Kingdoms NES castle doesnt look like the real deal..the Milons castle matches though

What’s interesting is that, in the game, Milon’s Secret Castle doesn’t look like Sleeping Beauty Castle.





And look at this: On the cover art of Adventures in the Magic Kingdom, the castle appears to be Cinderella Castle:





But on the title screen, it appears to be Sleeping Beauty Castle:





And, as DisneyFan28 mentioned, the castle in the actual game doesn’t look like either one:

It could be that, as animagusurreal alluded to, the box cover artists were using Neuschwanstein Castle as their source of inspiration. Which we all know is the inspiration for Sleeping beauty castle...

(Edit) after looking at the game-box image again it doese look more like sleeping beuty castle than Neuschwanstein Castle so um, nevermind.

Here in Riverside there is a Mexican night club called El Castillo. Above the entrance is a huge color painted mural of Disneyland's Sleeping Beauty Castle. Not a likeness or similar......it looks like it was copied from a post card, right down to the swans in the moat.
