I wasn't there at the opening of Toontown but I was there on the opening day of RRCS. Funny thing was I rode RRCS the day before official opening. The car I was in wasn't spinning. I told the CM and the next day, (official opening day and same Cm) told me that I saved opening day and the ride was fixed.
Oh, and I was there on the first night of Fantasmic! Of courseI was in awe.
I was there (3rd in line until this guy brought his group of like 12 he was holding a place for) for the Sleeping Beauty Castle Walkthrough. How long did I wait, 8 years man... or 2.5 hours in line, although I was at the front so I don't know technically when the line "started"
I was at the opening for the updated Pirates. Was really astonished by the lineup the first day for it. I got to the park at 8 and the line was already at Emporium on Main Street. My family and I scoped out the line when we were heading for HM and saw that not only was it long, it was winding. There were numerous mazes. Funny thing is, when we got to ride it at like 9:00 right before the fireworks, the ride broke down when we were at the part where you hear the slow banjo song. Let me tell you, 45 min. with that song will drive you mad.
Well, several attractions have had preview days, but as far as official opening day, opening day for dca, opening day for the 40th birthday stage show at tomorrowland terrace, opening day for Parade of Dreams, opening show for Believe there's magic in the sky, preview event for dca's tower of terror, and preview for bug's land, preview for dca,
Well we got to do Cast Previews for Nemo and Toy Story Mania.. And I saw the Unofficial First Showing of Pixar Play Parade...We were hanging out at DCA before going to a Formal Disney Dinner at the Grand Californian....so hubby and I were all decked out trying not to get wet..lol. Hubby was one of the few CM's being honored with the Spirit of Disneyland Award...
