Re: Data TR #4 (for four!)

So it looks like you survived the ride home on the 460 Metro?

I've met SeaWolf and StarTours1 (but not Dark Lady) so I know you had great company for the day.

Looking forward to the rest of the segments of your TR!

Re: Data TR #4 (for four!)

Yup, that I did! I'll include my experiences with the Metro at the end of the TR.

(For everyone else, we had just come out of BLAB at night, and we were talking for a bit, and we decided to try the dream home at Innoventions, and I totally thought we were standing outside Star Tours for some stupid reason, so I pointed in the wrong direction. These two proceeded to make fun of me plenty, albeit not as much as I deserved - and the great irony, of course, is that the ORIGINAL House of the Future was located in the direction I inadvertently pointed. <img src="/forums/images/smilies/tongue2.gif" border="0" alt="" title="Tounge" smilieid="54" class="inlineimg" />)
We were laughing with you, not at you! I think it was a really classic moment, and a surprise trip to the past. It was soooo believable when you said it though! Amazing!

Well the fact that you are using the smiling emoticon would seem to suggest that it was not an entirely unpleasant trip back home. I used to take the Metro home at night from West LA and found many intriguing bizarre animatronic characters during those trips

Haha, I know, I know. I was cracking up at it, too. I just couldn't believe how completely I got turned around!

Yeah, there was this one guy who was pretty crazy on one of the shuttles, but he didn't bother me too much. It was smooth sailing - so to speak - for the most part.

Good times and fast times all rolled into one. You do manage to get around in the parks on a given day, don't you Data. Great pix and report!

Re: Data TR #4 (for four!)

Dang I missed a trip down at the same time..when is your next time down Brett? My scheduled trips are May 2nd-4th and then again for my Birthday in late December {and Tuba Christmas of course} I would have loved to roam the park with you and Sea Wolf!

Re: Data TR #4 (for four!)

Haha, yeah, well, I'm not an AP, Ride Warrior, so I don't get to go that often (though it's certainly more frequent than it used to be!), and I love rides, so I tend to do a lot in one day. I think the others will confirm that we took ample breaks to rest our feet, chat, enjoy the sights, etc. At the end of the day, I really don't like being totally worn out, so I try to find a happy medium between going totally nonstop and not doing enough to get my money's worth.

EDIT: Aww, that's too bad, GregC. I think I'll be there for my birthday in June, but I have no plans other than that. (And sorry to be awkward, but...my name's Joe, not Brett. Unless you were talking to someone else, in which case I've just made myself look pretty self-centered. )

Re: Data TR #4 (for four!)

Haha, no worries whatsoever...I am INSANELY bad with names out in the "real world." It's really pretty bad.

Also...the Dark Lady was looking at the camera.
