But then again, that is one fairly huge light.

But then again, I think if a sparrow dropped it, it would have more kinetic energy than a cow having been launched from behind Sleeping Beauty castle. (Run away!)

But then again, this thread might be nearing it's end....

Are you suggesting that syncrolites migrate?

Well, an African sparrow could do it, naturally. But they're non-migratory.

Plus they are much harder to train than the English sparrows.

The F-15 is 34 tons max takeoff weight (fuel and payload), and does 1,875 MPH - It wins. By about three times. That speed counts for a lot.

You say the DLRR engines are 12 tons but I'll bet that's not counting the water in the boiler, then add another 4 to 5 tons for a full tender and fuel/water load - They can run Light (without the passenger cars) but you can't go very far at all without the tender. Even when you factor the 50 MPH kinetic energy in, it loses.

And consider that the F-15 has an ejection seat (plural for B-D-E models). But the pilot would have to eject rather early to stay out of the blast radius of the boiler water steam - and once the pilot punches out the plane could go anywhere except where aimed...

The safest place to hide would be behind the Bullseye - but I'm not going to try it.

Thanks Steve Appears that Bruce beat me to it though. I may play with some stuff and just come up with some fun Disney "math" facts.

Is it sad that I actually do have a slide rule and can use it? Won it in a math competition about a decade ago. I'm sorry... my extreme nerd is showing.

    Back on topic...

If you think that looks good in any way, shape or form--then you are far crazier than most.
    and
The effect--what some might term the magic--is the important thing. This is the problem with the giant spotlight above. It breaks the themeing in a far greater way than modern pin lights or the fact that the brick Main Street buildings aren't made of brick at all.
    OMG!!!!
Seriously, I really get bothered by folks complaining about a stupid temporary light (or whatever) showing up on the roof of a building when there isn't supposed to be anything up there. C'mon folks! PLEASE don't get your panties in a wad over some little occasional intrusion as that! I appreciate the scarcasm of some (I'd be one of the first to do it), but it's the genuine whiners that really get my goat! Knock it off and just DEAL WITH IT!!!

Back on topic, is anyone going to work on the sparrow problem? How about the light question, how many lights are there on MSUSA? Does the energy they release come close to equaling the power of an atomic bomb?

Since we can't come to any conclusion about the species of sparrow, I will let that question go unanswered.

I'm working on that one actually.

There's a simple way to answer that - but someone needs to get a copy of one of Disneyland's recent Anaheim Power & Light bills. (The 'Master Bill' for the whole park, not just one meter - there will be dozens for different areas.) Then you can figure out the energy conversions.

I'll take an educated guess and say the whole park uses about one A-bomb worth of power every three months in the summer, four in the winter when the AC bills are lower.

You want to solve the sparrow problem, get a hawk. Problem being that'll seriously shock the sensitive folks seeing "True Nature Adventures" playing itself out 'Right there on MSUSA'...

I think you quoted the wrong person. You might want to read the posts before you make that statement.
