Thank you for letting me know. I'm going to PM you, if you don't mind.
I'm not too worried though. They might still call me in April or May for the June contract.

Are they interested in a guy with lots of piercings and a mohawk?

Personally, sometimes I find someone who "acts" too much a lil bit more annoying. I can tell someone who is more real.. and I think it is a warmer and more friendly person who makes a better character! And you never know.. What is worse they can say? No? Keep moving forward... hahaha, and keep trying! Someday it may be your day!

I would rather be one of the costumed characters, and be able to overact physically and have a good time, then have "face" time, and have someone sort of "recognize" me. Also wouldn't have to worry about "talking or speaking!" hahah But that is just me.

Re: Disneyland Face Auditions -- Who's Going?

There was nothing more sad then seeing the folks from Disney Auditions out at a special event, and seeing the backdrop contain 85% fired characters from Parade of Dreams.

    It just broke my heart.

Still, hope you all get in and become a bright addition to Disney's decreasing character team. =)

Not to be depressing or anything, but it was sad seeing auditions advertise with such great performers and characters so sadly removed.

I'm still very excited to hear if some of you get in!

I once heard a story of a girl going into the first round. They said she was a pretty girl and might have had a shot, but made the mistake of going overboard in the acting. In the very first round she spoke in her best princess voice and became very poised, using the swishy arm movements, and basically tried to stand out from the rest. She was cut after that.

My guess is that they don't want to see your acting until they specifically ask for it. So even though some people may have the experience, they can still make mistakes.

But I don't want to go among MAD people!

I'm still on the fence about this... I guess my height, like I mentioned in that other thread, is my main concern (5'3). And I'm not super skinny or anything, more of a slim to medium build.

Is it a good idea to wear make-up to the audition or go without?

Go with minimal makeup. If they like your looks you will actually be going in to do makeup tests, so best to start with a clean slate.

But I don't want to go among MAD people!

I noticed the heights that they're asking for some of the females is 4'11" - 5'2"? Do you guys think that means they're re-auditioning disney fairy characters?

I don't want to go & look dumb! haha

and yes... it scares me that they're doing these on april fool's...

Probably means fairies, which actually tink is the shortest, the other fairies are a little taller I believe. I'm pretty sure they are casting for Alice/Wendy too. They're in the 4'11-5'2 range.
    Good luck!

So is anyone going? If I do go, it'd be really nice to know someone there.
