Ugh, okay fine. I'm trying to think of what SHOULD have been done from the beginning. Repairing the damage is what I consider a priority.

If Frontierland is a shadow of what it was in the past, then I'd want to repair that before opening up a new attraction. On its current course, you're gonna get some horrible Woody's Wagons dark ride and that's REALLY gonna help matters won't it?

IMO, Tomorrowland has already gotten absolute dreck as far as new attractions are concerned. Certainly I'm not advocating just any attraction going in Frontierland any more than you are advocating installing a new attraction in Tomorrowland for the sake of having a new attraction.

Re: Frontierland vs. Tomorrowland: Which needs more help?

I'm being totally opinionated here. As a child I remember that Tomorrowland was the space-y, high-tech future. It was supposed to be fast and maybe even frenetic, and always NEW. Frontierland was slower, more relaxed, more old-fashioned.
I'd say stick with their names and work on Tomorrowland first. Or else call it "we'll get around to it tomorrow land". TL glaringly needs help. FL could use it, but it doesn't feel so depressingly past its prime as TL does.

Re: Frontierland vs. Tomorrowland: Which needs more help?

I voted Tomorrowland mainly due to its visual presentation issues. The entire land is a mix of different architectural styles and all of these different styles do not blend well at all. I see Tomorrowland as I do the former Paradise Pier and the need to completely redevelop the facades to create a cohesive blend of styles that I hope could have more thematic detail and story driven elements to give the land more character, which it lacks severely. Main Street has different facades that are different in character but share the same architectural inspiration. If WDI can find a space, futuristic, and/or technologically inspired style for the entire land I will be very pleased.

The land has its attractions now, though I do believe some of those attractions do need replacing or just removal all together. I would like something to go on the People Mover track, but if its not worth a whole lot, they can tear that thing down and free up some open space and perhaps more plant life in the main strip.

I wouldn't mind HISTA being replaced either with a new theater attraction or turned into a futuristic inspired garden or courtyard, as long as that attraction gets the boot.

I personally think they should tone down on the heavy concrete and stucco approach and bring in more plant life and vegetation. With too much concrete and stucco you get an overwhelming sense of warmth, which can be very heavy on top of the already warm weather during the summer. This is why people seem to like Tomorrowland at night, for it seems warm there during the cooler nights. But not pleasant during the warm SoCal days.

With more trees, plants, or a nice garden here and there, it can balance off that warm feeling with a fresh feeling of nature and life. Fountains and moving water can also accomplish this. The future doesn't have to be barren of life.

We also can't forget about Frontierland as this land also needs attention, but not in the same category as Tomorrowland. While Tomorrowland needs a new look, like DCA, Frontierland needs more things to do. Big Thunder Mountain is a great E-ticket, but that's the only real physical attraction other than the ships/boats on the river. At lease one more amusement attractions needs to be added as well as smaller things. The petting zoo and shooting gallery (A-tickets) are fantastic and well themed, but fall just short of where I want the land to be.

I would like either a nice C or D-ticket attraction added or even a top-notch cowboy/wild west stunt show (perhaps on the same scale of Water World at USH) in the former Festival of Fools location. I love seeing cowboys do their wild west thing; shootouts, horse riding, falling off high places, fighting, TNT, and the like. A high budget show will add excitement to a land that seems pretty mellow as of right now, and the new frontier was supposed to be exciting. I think we should keep the peaceful frontier trail, but for the rest of the land I say bring back the excitement to Frontierland!

I think tommrowland needs it more and is in dire need of a huge makeover. Frontierland although it does need some "touchup" , it's not as bad as tommorowland. I too want the peoplemover back!!!

Agreed, but at this point, what's another dreck attraction in Tomorrowland? I rather keep Frontierland as free from that direction as possible.

But also, what I'm suggesting for Tomorrowland is not character or toon based add-on. I just want to get that old ideal of a "world on a move" back to the land. And THEN after that, I'll really want the removal of Buzz and Finding Nemo.

Re: Frontierland vs. Tomorrowland: Which needs more help?

Both Frontierland and Tomorrowland need to get fixed up better.
Tomorrowland has more rides like Space Mountain, Star Tours, Autopia, BLAB, Nemo and Monorail. Others like HISTA and Innovetions and Starcade have to go.
With Frontierland only BTM is like the most popular attraction.
Frontierland could do better with a Pocahontas dark ride or Lone ranger ride.

I vote against any kind of toon dark ride in Frontierland

I agree with that.

I love the Old West and the concept of Frontierland, but I have to say that it's definitely gotten pretty shorted when it comes to attractions. Yeah, there's Big Thunder Mountain, but what else? Pirates Lair? Okay, but having to go through New Orleans Square to get to the rafts that take you to Pirates Lair makes things pretty unthematic. Not to mention, you could do so much more in Frontierland in the first few years DL was opened than you could do now. And that shouldn't be the case. I'm not a big fan of Big Thunder Ranch, personally. While I don't necessarily hate it, it pretty much is a waste of space. And as previously mentioned, that walkway behind Big Thunder Mountain is so lonely hardly anything going on. That pond in front of the mine cavern is just there with a rotting track and nothing going on. That's space that can be used for an attraction of some sort. I'd love for something like the Mule Rides to come back with Old West scenery as it used to be... but that would probably call for BTR to be leveled.

Tomorrowland needs a lot of work, too. The People Mover track is dead, Star Tours needs work, HISTA needs to go, Innoventions... well, other than the Dream Home the second story can disappear. I played Guitar Hero in there the other day. Of all things. I love outer space and some space-themed elements of Tomorrowland, but it's really lost it's futuristic feel. Bring back a House of Tomorrow with some far out technology that none of us can imagine. Give us a new 3D show that doesn't require glasses and is more interactive. Autopia is outdated. Get something moving on the People Mover track. Re-work Tomorrowland Terrace. There's so many more specific things that can and need to be done to TL than FL.

So in the end, both areas need work, but TL is clearly in more urgent need of repair.

Zorro would be a great addition. Unfortunately, Disney let the rights go and now the franchise is owned by Colombia/TriStar. Damn shame if you ask me.
