This has been one of my most favorite Mickey b&w shorts ever.
The short involves Trader Mickey sailing on an African River, infested by Hippos and then continues to be captured by some headhunters. The natives then go into his cargo and play around with the various items, trashing most of them. The short culminates in a huge musical number.
Everytime I watch this I am reminded of 4 major Jungle Cruise Scenes.
The Headhunters village,
The Hippo Pool,
The Gorillas taking over the campsite.
Could this have been an inspiration to Marc Davis when looking for comical scenes to refresh the Jungle Cruise??
