See, your minute by minute honeymoon trip Park schedule just had a monkey wrench thrown at it.

And it's still three months away! You were warned about this!

Oh NO!!! It's back to the drawing board!

You know, you can call Disneyland directly and ask questions. Go ahead, make a whole list and call. They're there to help.
So maybe cut down a little on the posting and re-posting and asking MCers to do your research for you. Everyone is happy to help, but be considerate.
was this considerate?? he is excited about his trip, and honeymoon, give the poor guy a break. with his questions he has helped me so much for my own trip coming up. thanks Yackerz

hehe.. well if a ride goes down, I just skip it in my plan and come back to it at the end of the night if it reopens. No biggy

I HIGHLY doubt Peter Pan will be down come June though. I think it will be a week to 2 week refurbishment at most. Otherwise, all the CMs would be talking about what new and exciting is planned for Peter Pan.

I'm still interested in seeing what little improvements they make in the ride as they could use a good many of them!

Its not like this board is going to fall apart if he posts a few more (or a few hundred more) threads. Besides this one is actually a worth a bit of discussion, Pan is one of the most popular rides in Fantasyland and is one of the few overhead carriage darkrides around. Its maintenance and refurb is worth a thread. IMHO this is a far better thread than any of the Fantasmic! appreciation threads that get started from time to time. Plus it illustrates the need for a flexible plan when one visits Disneyland for the first, and possible only time.

On the other hand I still think the OP should start a smoking thread.

I think it needs a bit of a refurb so this is probably a good thing, I'll make sure I ride it before it does down.

There is nothing wrong with this thread's topic, ignore the naysayer.
I doubt Pan would go down for an extensive refurb right as the busy summer season is getting underway.

I am always happy to hear news and to help in any questions that were asked. I think that Snorkle was alittle harsh on her response. We should all be kind and helpful. MC is for fun and info of all kinds. IMO

I don't believe Snorklet'sMom was harsh in even the slightest way. Her response is quite gentle in its hint.

However, I do believe this is a worthwhile thread, and it's good that it was started. The information is very relevant to my interests. It bears pointing out, though, that some of us might have responded to it a bit more welcomingly if this wasn't part of such an ongoing series of threads started by the same person.

I've heard it's closed so they can install the new two-row ride vehicles.

We shall see...

No way! Would the track be able to support that much weight though?

Two-row ride vehicles eh? So this should speed up the lines shouldn't it?

re: Peter Pan Scheduled for Refurbishment?!? (Merged)

This could be the major redo for Peter Pan that Al was talking about last year. They are installing a new overhead track and larger flying boats that have room for more people as they have a front row seat and a back row as well. It will double the ride throughput and maybe cut down on the long lines.

Also they will fix up the worn paint and broken things and once again Peter and you can fly to Neverland that looks new, bright and shiny. Plus better seating. We had thought that this had been put on the back burner due to all the other construction being done around Disneyland (Not DCA as that is a separate budget) and now maybe they have decided to include this very popular ride in it's major overhaul.

Hearsay - I don't know about two rows, but I also heard this was in regards to new boats. About two years ago I witnessed Imagineering with mock ups drawings/blue prints with single row boats on them. The other thing I remember them discussing was the load bar hitting smaller kids when it lifted at the exit. (The cast member brought this to their attention.) If I recall, they mentioned that this was to occur in 2008 (which matched Al's original article,) Granted that was two years ago and not only do plans change, they also could be dropped totally. I'm sure there was more to the conversation as I only got a few minutes while of it while waiting in line with a wheelchair.
