We'll be at DLR for our yearly trip the week of may fourth too and while I've only ridden Peter Pan once, if thats all thats down then I'm ok with it.

Wow, how exciting, a new Peter Pan refurbishment! It's one of my favorites; I can't wait to see what they change. If they really do the boats that would be amazing; we need those!

I think that this was an amazing post by Yackerz. We need some news about refurbishments and other Disneyland news. Threads are meant to be started, anyway. And he's making great ones!

Question about the calendar; is the park really closing that early in May? 8 pm? If so, why? Is it in preparation for summer?

I think DLR closes at 8:00 because the crowds are so light. Kinda sucks though.
At least its open till 12:00 on Friday.

That is a sweet hat! I won't be going there till June, however. So I won't get to enjoy seeing it in person.

Yes, the park closing at 8:00 is due to the fact the crowds will still be still light in May. Not until school / vacation season start do the crowds really pick up.

i hope they fix the micheal and john figures in the nursery, they move really shaky and look like they have Parkinson disease, not that im making fun of it because its a horrible disease but thats what the the two figures look like when they move.

Just an update.. refurbishment of Peter Pan still May 4th till ???
However, Disneyland has posted a few more days of May and Peter Pan is still listed as under going refurbishment up till AT LEAST May 12th. (That is as far as the park schedule goes.
If its under refurbishment past then we'll know in the next few weeks.

Not to burst anyone's bubble, but I'm skeptical of the reality of this refurbishment. It appears nowhere on our cast reference guides.

So the Disneyland Calendar is just incorrect? They keep updating it without changing the fact Peter Pan is undergoing a refurb?

Maybe it was on the original calendar for the year and they canceled the project. They just didn't remove it from the calendar?

"According to what my DLR source told me, Peter Pan will be closed from May 4-June 7 -- sorry all "

A few years ago there was supposedly going to be refurb for all the Dark Rides following the Alice in Wonderland upgrades. I wonder if this is the start of that. Maybe they will add some more Tinkerbell references to the ride to tie in with her own movies?
