Anyone know any news as to what they will be doing with Peter Pan? The calendar says it will be done for almost the entire month of May.

From Al's most recent column:

The new boats won't have a second row, but they have been designed to carry more weight and will have noticeably wider seats to accommodate those ever growing 21st century posteriors.

You would have loved Adventure Through Inner Space if it were still around.

From my understanding from when I was a CM If and when Peter Pan goes down for an extended rehab the track would be re-enforeced and the boats would be replaced with a focus safety and the drive mechanism - to make for a smoother and quieter ride.

If PP was going to go with 2 row boat vehicles the whole ride would need to be gutted and redone as the current track set-up would never be able to carry that much weight (an estimated 1300 lbs) in each boat.

Good point! Those new boat vehicles would drastically change the whole ride if they are ever installed.

For those of you closer to the action, do most refurbishments open up back on time or do they open a few days earlier if they get done sooner? I guess my real question is to refurbishments ever open early?
