I'm just glad it had a soft opening today so less people have to miss it! I hope it's a bit better(:

My friend and I rode it yesterday and I LOVE how they did the lapbars. They're curved now instead of straight (I didn't get pictures), the seats are a little higher than before, the boats look smaller but it's probably the same size. The colors are very lovely: Yellow, gold, mint green, light blue, black, red, dark blue, white, etc.

Of course, everything inside got repainted and it looks SO much brighter and nicer.

EDIT: Oh, and the outside got some fresh paint (and I think new colors).

Thanks for the factual review.

We'll be heading off to the Resort for the week in the morning, so we'll have to hit the ride a few times to check out all of the changes!

The new boats can seat a famiky of four, unlike the old ones. That CM wasn't wrong after all.

A realisticly sized family of four???

Not from what I see waddling down Main St. on a regular basis...

I saw 2 parents and a child who looked about 12 or 13 get off from the same boat. The dad was a little heavier set, but the mom and daughter were slender.

If they're any bigger than they used to be, I can imagine them seating four.

My mum and sister and I all fit in one together last summer and my sister and I aren't tiny. Of course, it was a pretty tight squeeze.

Anyway, nifty! I hope everything is sparkly and minty-fresh.

No way, unless you all like to be sardines! 2 adults and 2 small children, yes....
Rode it yesterday; 3 REGULAR sized adults comfortably.

I believe they were still there; on the inside of the sails? Pretty sure I remember seeing them there somewhere....

They're on the back of the ships.

From the photos I've seen, the ships now have two jolly rogers, one in the very back, and another on the underside of the mainsail. Both are more detailed than the previous one. There are other small changes to the look of the ships; the "windows" and lantern on the back now have dimensional detail rather than just paint, the small cannons are more fully sculpted, and the ships have gained bowsprits (the spar/pole angling out from the front of the ship).
